Specialist equipment is important

Specialist equipment can make a world of difference to people living with mobility issues. The right equipment can support individuals to fully access the wider world and provides independence.

Today we had specialist Eric Cooper from Axus Powered Wheelchairs by CareCo, in to speak with residents and medical professionals about the clinical advantages that the correct mobility equipment can bring.

Residents tried out the chairs and were blown away by how easy they are to operate and how much benefit they could bring.

Team leaders from the Outpatients, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy units at St Margaret's Hospital also enjoyed the demonstrations and learning more about the range. Several had patients in mind to whom the correct wheelchair will make a huge difference in their lives.
