Ideal Carehomes has received the keys to its 30th care home development doubling its portfolio of care homes in the last five years.
Haywood Lodge in Warwickshire has benefitted from a £12 million investment and will open its doors to welcome new residents later this month.
The state-of-the-art care home, which is located on Warwick Highway in Mappleborough Green, has landscaped gardens, cinema, café area, garden rooms, library, hair salon and convenience store.
Home manager, Jacqui Harris, said: “I am extremely proud and excited to soon be able to open the doors of our beautiful home at Haywood Lodge, Ideal Carehome’s 30th development.
“Our future residents will benefit so much from our facilities and the full and varied social programme organised by our activities co-ordinators. Everything we do at Haywood Lodge will put us at the forefront of care and, with the established team and policies behind us, we have everything we need to ensure the continued wellbeing of our residents and staff and to support our new residents to live life to the full.”
All its care staff receive paid breaks, consistent shift patterns, health and wellbeing support, industry-leading training and development via the ‘Ideal Academy’, and access to a management development programme, along with many other employee benefits.
In March, Ideal Carehomes announced a second pay increase for all its hourly paid staff, giving them a nine per cent pay increase in the last six months alone, a total investment of £3m, taking all its salaries significantly above the current real living wage.
The pay increase has been awarded in recognition of the high quality of care being delivered to its residents whilst the challenges of the pandemic have continued in to 2022.
Stacey Linn, managing director at Ideal Carehomes, said: “Our 30th home is an important milestone for Ideal Carehomes as it celebrates everything we have achieved over the last five years. Our focus is entirely on prioritising person-centred care, lifestyle and independence for our residents as well as wellbeing, engagement and motivation of our staff.
“Behind every Ideal care home is an incredible team and we are passionate about investing in our people, providing them with a rewarding and enjoyable career in care.
“We have development pathways in place to guide and progress our care teams, and we have a very strong focus on staff wellbeing, be that mental or physical, so we are able to fully support every single employee within each and every care home.”
