Care home group offer nurses a welcome bonus of £5,000

A care home company is offering nurses a £5,000 welcome bonus to join two of its care homes in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

The bonuses are being offered by Exemplar Health Care at its Eastlands and Meadowcroft care homes in Kingfisher Way.

Newly qualified nurses are also being offered a £1500 welcome bonus from the provider.

Debbie Smith, home manager at Eastlands, said: “We are delighted to offer an enhanced welcome bonus for nurses at Eastlands and Meadowcroft.

“We already have fantastic, close-knit care teams at both homes, and we are looking to bring people on board who share the same values and commitment to provide the very best care for our residents.”

Eastlands and Meadowcroft each support up to 20 adults living with complex mental health needs, and Eastlands also supports those with physical disabilities. Both care homes are currently looking to hire nurses to support younger adults living with complex needs.

The role with the specialist care provider will involve assessing people’s care needs, delivering person-centred nursing care for people living with complex needs and leading a small care team.

Michelle Rope, home manager at Meadowcroft, said: “Upon joining the team, you will receive full training as part of your induction and will be supported by a buddy during your first few weeks.
