The third day of Royal Ascot is commonly known as Ladies Day, when race-goers’ show off stylish outfits and often eccentric headwear.

At Colten Care’s Kingfishers care home in New Milton, residents including Wendy Webber, Joan Hales, Florence O’Dell and Bunty Patrick were clear winners when it came to sporting a bit of tasteful elegance.

Joan Hales was one of Kingfishers' residents to celebrate Royal Ascot Ladies' Day.

Ms Hales opted for a fashionable fascinator to complement her look.

Joan Hales said: “I love hats and miss wearing them.

"It’s just lovely to dress up and celebrate Ladies Day.”
