Park Avenue residents visit their local park

The team and the people living at Park Avenue Care Home in Bromley have been trying to make the most of the sunny summer weather as much as possible. This includes sunny trips out of the home.

Recently, the team took some of the residents on a little trip down to King’s Meadow Park. This park, whilst beautiful, is also just a short walking distance from the home, so it was very easy for everyone to get to.

This activity was chosen by the home’s Lifestyle Coordinator, who thought that it would be a nice change of scenery for everyone. She was right, as everyone spoke about how much they loved sitting in the park and enjoying somewhere new.

This was also a great opportunity for everyone to talk to each other and play some games. The team brought a ball with them so everyone could engage in a game of catch at the park. It was great to get their heart rates up with some exercise, whilst also having an incredibly fun time! Everyone got their muscles moving with a smile on their face, and there was plenty of laughter as people attempted to catch the ball.

We’ve been fortunate to have such sunny weather this summer, so it was great that they were able to make the most of it. Here’s to more days out in the park before we fully transition to Autumn!
