In-house shopping experience

Acacia Care Centre had a wonderful in-house shopping experience for their lovely residents!

Gemini Fashion came into the home and set up clothes and accessories in a shop layout for people to walk around and browse at their own leisure. We also set up a craft stall where staff members had an opportunity to display their hand-made items such as candles, key rings, cards, letters made of flowers and gift boxes for sale. Family members also joined in which was amazing.

In-house shopping is a great way to give residents a sense of purpose and independence. Many residents bought items that they were very happy with and commented what a wonderful experience it was.
