A hotel that hosted Pele and Brazil’s football team at the 1966 World Cup has been turned into a luxury care home.
The 66-bed care home in Lymm, Cheshire, is less than one month away from completion and will be known as Statham Manor.
New Care will be running the £15m care home featuring bedrooms with private en-suite wet rooms, several communal lounges, dining rooms, spa assisted bathrooms, a hair salon and nail bar, plus landscaped gardens.
Dawn Collett, commissioning director at New Care, said: “Work on site is progressing well and, with less than one month to go until practical completion, Statham Manor is really taking shape. The care facility has been expertly designed to offer outstanding care in a stylish environment, and we are already starting to recruit the 100-strong team and our first residents.”
The care home will offer person-centred residential, nursing, dementia and respite care.
New Care is one of the UK’s leading care providers and is part of the McGoff Group. For further information on Statham Manor, please contact the team on enquiries@newcarehomes.com.
