Actor John Partridge opens local care home pub

16th June 2023 – Rectory Court care home in Blackheath, celebrated the official opening of its very own pub called ‘The Garden Retreat’, with the ribbon cut by ex-Eastenders actor John Partridge and care home General Manager Sue Hill, pictured. (Photo copyright triptych design).

Commenting on the opening Sue Hill, General Manager, Rectory Court said, “ Our care team asked residents what they wanted the detached garden visiting room (erected during Covid) transformed into and they unanimously voted for a pub! We look forward to many happy times and celebrations in our very own on-site pub.”

“We were delighted that actor John Partridge joined us to open The Garden Retreat, before he jets off to start work on Netflix docudrama Queen Cleopatra. His kindness and support of Rectory Court is very much appreciated,” concluded Sue.
