Last month, we were delighted to be joined by our new care manager Nicky. Following Amanda’s departure, we needed to find someone special to fill her shoes and we are pleased to say that we found that someone in Nicky.
Nicky is a ray of sunshine; her years of experience and her sunny disposition will be of huge benefit to Kingfisher Court. I’ll let Nicky introduce herself in her own words.
“I’m Nicky, I have worked in Health and Social Care for around 17 years now and my work means so much to me. I enjoy working with people, supporting them, and encouraging them, leading a happy, fulfilled team! I love getting to know the residents that I support, hearing their stories and learning about their lives, delivering hands on care, that enables me to develop a person-centred approach.
"I haven’t been here at Kingfisher long, but I have a good feeling about the home, it is such a warm, welcoming, happy place to be. I’m sure that I will fit in well here, I work well under pressure and love having an open door to enable both the residents and their families and I to develop a close professional relationship based on honesty and trust.
"I feel very fortunate to have been given this opportunity and I am grateful for the warm welcome that I have received. My job takes up a lot of my time but when I’m not at work, I spend my time playing with my 3 children, enjoying the company of my husband, and saying I will go to the gym!”
