Meet Cherry Hill, MBE

Meet Cherry Hill, MBE, our first resident to move into Elgar Court.

Born in Malvern, Cherry was a Model Engineer trailblazer in her time. Known for her detailed scale models of steam vehicles, Cherry is considered to be one of the greatest model engineers of all time, and has built nearly 20 detailed scale models of steam vehicles, including Victorian models - which each took her approximately 7,000 hours to make, and are fully operational.

There have even been numerous books and magazine articles written about Cherry and awards!

We are honoured Cherry has chosen to live with us, and enjoy daily life in our home. From enjoying daily exercise, music concerts and trips out to name a few, Cherry has fully embraced the easier way of life at Elgar Court – including our lovely home baked chocolate cakes!
