Our residents Visit Prinknash Abbey

Last Updated: 27 Jun 2024 @ 00:00 AM

Our residents had a lovely visit to Prinknash Abbey yesterday.

Prinknash Abbey is located in Painswick in Gloucester and is famous for the Benedictine Monks who resided at the nearby monastery from 1972 and were often seen walking around the abbey, however the monastery has been empty since 2008 due to the Monks' relocation.

Our residents Margaret and David previously lived a short distance from Prinknash Abbey and they visited the area regularly. David recalled having lunch at Prinknash every Wednesday. David was also an auctioneer so was keen to take a look around Chorley auctioneers located on the grounds.

The day was full of memories for the couple and was later finished in the café for a pot of tea and cake.
