Portuguese Day

BOM DIA- Good Morning

Here at Silverbirch House, we as a multicultural team are very excited and proud to share and embrace our team's different cultures to our residents and staff.

Helena our senior carer showcased her culinary skills with a delicious traditional dish- Bolinhos De Bacalhan which is cod with potatoes, parsley and egg, Pastel De Nata which is a scrumptious sweet washed down with Porto Wine and Super Bock Beer. Fado music played which filled the home with warmth and laughter.

We ended our Portuguese celebration with a quiz which our residents did exceptionally well with and put the staff to shame in their knowledge and we also learnt a few Portuguese words.

Thank You to Helena for sharing this opportunity with us which was very much appreciated by all.
