The Belmont Backs St Richard’s Hospice in fundraising effort

On the 29th of August, The Belmont care home, part of Sanders Senior Living, proudly joined St Richard’s Hospice’s “Grow Your Dough” campaign.

The hospice provided The Belmont with £40, and the challenge is to increase this amount through creative fundraising efforts such as raffles and events, all while supporting a cause close to the home’s heart.

Ria Simons, Corporate Fundraising Lead at St Richard’s Hospice, visited The Belmont to officially launch the campaign. During her visit, The Belmont presented a £120 donation raised from their recent summer fete, which was warmly received by Ria.

The “Grow Your Dough” campaign will run through November, and The Belmont team, together with their residents, are excited to see how much they can raise.

The campaign has sparked enthusiasm across the care home, providing a wonderful opportunity for residents to be involved in the process of growing the funds.

They will participate in various activities, working together to create innovative ways to boost the donation and support the important work of St Richard’s Hospice.

Stephanie Howard, Home Manager at The Belmont, expressed her excitement for the campaign, stating, “It is an amazing opportunity for our residents to be involved and to come up with ideas of how The Belmont can grow the donation of £40 from St Richard’s Hospice.”

Carla Sidaway, Customer Relations Manager at The Belmont, added, “This campaign is for such a good cause, and the hospice has touched many people living in Worcestershire.

I am looking forward to working more closely with the hospice and seeing how far we can grow our £40.”

Nicki Brant, Deputy Manager at The Belmont, emphasized the importance of this partnership, noting, “St Richard’s has always been very close to our hearts at The Belmont, and we are looking forward to taking part in this campaign.

We enjoy helping the community and can’t wait to see how much we can raise for the hospice this time.”

The “Grow Your Dough” campaign not only supports the valuable services provided by St Richard’s Hospice but also strengthens the bond between The Belmont care home and the wider Worcestershire community.
