Sarah Hayman, the Senior General Manager of Challoner House Nursing Home in Chandlers Ford, has been selected as a regional finalist in the Frontline Leadership Award for Southern Region at the Great British Care Awards 2024. The Southern Regional Awards are part of the Great British Care Awards, a series of 9 regional awards celebrating excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to promote best practice within both the home care and care home sectors, and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. As the finalist for South, Sarah Hayman has been invited to attend the awards gala ceremony on 15th November in Brighton where the achievements will be celebrated, and the Regional Winners will be announced. All Regional Winners will then go through to the next round of judging to decide the National Winners in each category. Sarah Hayman is a devoted Senior General Manager who has contributed to the success of the home. She takes a lot of pride in knowing her residents well, and keeping up the staff morale so challenging days feel easier. Sarah said: “I wasn’t expecting to be shortlisted for this award but I am so pleased, and proud. We don’t work in care for the accolades but it’s wonderful to be recognized by my team and peers, it is nothing short of an honor.”
