Bennett Lodge Residents Visit Dunelm at Lakeside to Say Thank You

Residents from Bennett Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently enjoyed a heartwarming trip to Dunelm at Lakeside on Tuesday, 28th January 2025. The visit was a special way to express their gratitude after the store generously selected the care home for the fourth consecutive year as part of their Joy at Christmas campaign.

Organised by Jack Hughes, Lifestyle Coordinator, the trip included seven residents who were eager to personally thank the team at Dunelm for their kindness over the festive season. What was expected to be a simple lunch in the café turned into a wonderful surprise, as Dunelm went the extra mile by treating the residents to a beautifully arranged afternoon tea.

One resident shared her heartfelt appreciation, saying, "I was overwhelmed by the generosity. I have no family, so receiving such lovely presents at Christmas meant the world to me."

Jack Hughes emphasised the importance of maintaining strong community connections, stating, "Building relationships with local businesses and the wider community has such a positive impact on our home and residents. These connections bring joy, foster inclusivity, and create cherished memories."

The visit was filled with warmth, laughter, and appreciation, reinforcing the power of kindness and community spirit.
