Residents at Castor Lodge Care Home in Peterborough enjoyed a lively celebration of St. Patrick’s Day filled with Irish cheer, delicious Guinness, and a special surprise as part of their popular 'Make a Wish' initiative.
Organised by the home's dedicated Wellbeing Team, the event brought residents and staff together to enjoy a celebration of Irish culture. The care home was decorated with shamrocks, green balloons, and Irish flags, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The highlight of the day was an emotional moment when resident Christine received a heartfelt, personalised message from the beloved Irish singer and TV host Daniel O'Donnell, arranged specially for her by Wellbeing Coordinator Glennda-Ann Barker. Christine and her family were thrilled to be surprised with the video during a screening in the care home’s lounge.
