Blackthorns Achieves Bronze Accreditation with Prosper

Blackthorns Care Home, part of Runwood Homes group, proudly received their prestigious Bronze accreditation from Prosper, a quality improvement initiative aimed at enhancing care home standards. The award was presented on 4th March 2025 by Karen Williams, Provider Quality Officer, in recognition of their commitment to improving resident well-being and reducing preventable health issues.

Under the leadership of Flavia Poplauschi, Home Manager, Blackthorns has actively engaged in Prosper’s methodology, focusing on key areas such as fall prevention, pressure ulcer reduction, and hydration management to lower the risk of urinary tract infections. By consistently inputting data and working collaboratively with Prosper, the care home has demonstrated significant improvements in these crucial aspects of resident care. "We are delighted to receive this Bronze accreditation from Prosper. Our team has worked tirelessly to implement strategies that ensure the well-being of our residents, and this recognition is a testament to their dedication," said Flavia Poplauschi, Home Manager. "We remain committed to continuous improvement and look forward to working towards Silver accreditation in the coming months."
