Westgate Healthcare is proud to celebrate the five-year work anniversaries of three exceptional team members at Riverdale Care Home: Lynda Inch, Jeanette Rye, and Suzanne Gibson. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment to residents and their families have made a significant impact on the care home community. Each of them has a unique journey that led them to Riverdale, and today, Westgate Healthcare honours their contributions.
Lynda Inch – Customer Relations Manager With over 20 years of experience in the care sector, Lynda Inch has played a vital role in ensuring that new residents and their families feel supported during their transition into Riverdale. Having previously worked as a Senior Carer, Deputy, and Home Manager, Lynda sought a new challenge and joined Westgate Healthcare in 2019 as an Administrator. Her hard work and dedication quickly led to her promotion as Customer Relations Manager. Lynda finds great fulfilment in meeting new people, offering guidance, and providing comfort to families making the important decision to move a loved one into care. Her ability to make a difference in their lives is what drives her passion for her role.
Jeanette Rye – Receptionist Jeanette Rye’s journey to Riverdale took a different path. Having worked in the financial sector for many years as a receptionist, she found her true calling when she joined the care sector. Jeanette describes Riverdale Care Home as her “happy place,” where she enjoys brightening the day of residents and their families. For Jeanette, a simple smile from a resident makes her day complete. Her warmth and kindness at the reception desk set the tone for everyone who walks through Riverdale’s doors, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Suzanne Gibson – Administrator Suzanne Gibson’s career has spanned various industries, from window manufacturing to pest control and the automotive sector. However, her personal experience caring for her grandfather and mother inspired her to pursue a role in care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Suzanne took a position in the domestic team at Maldon and Braintree hospitals, where she discovered a passion for working with patients. When she saw an opportunity at Riverdale, she initially applied for a Domestic Assistant role. However, after an interview, she was offered a Healthcare Assistant position instead. Her dedication and hard work saw her progress to Senior Healthcare Assistant, achieving an NVQ qualification through Westgate Healthcare. When the Administrator role became available, Suzanne saw it as the perfect opportunity to grow within Riverdale. Now, she enjoys the variety of her role, the interactions with residents and families, and the sense of purpose she has found in the care sector.
A Heartfelt Thank You Lynda, Jeanette, and Suzanne embody the values of Westgate Healthcare – Compassionate, Committed, Collaborative, and Credible. They support and care for residents and families with respect, going above and beyond to exceed expectations. Their teamwork and creativity contribute to making Riverdale Care Home a welcoming and nurturing environment, while their honesty and dedication ensure transparency and accountability in all they do. We are incredibly grateful for all that Lynda, Jeanette, and Suzanne bring to Riverdale Care Home. Their kindness, passion, and dedication make a world of difference to residents and families every day, and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones with them.
