PJ Care has proudly launched its pioneering new service for individuals battling the debilitating symptoms of a largely unknown, but common disorder, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) at Sherwood House.
These ground-breaking services, will bring hope to those affected by the complex and often misunderstood condition.
PJ Care’s Director of Clinical Services and Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, Dr Allan Perry, said: “Our new services represent a game-changing approach to the treatment of FND.”
The outpatient services offer intensive rehabilitation and ongoing support. New FND outpatients at PJ Care will have a personalised treatment plan, with access to psychological therapies, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech, and language therapy, led by neuropsychologists and physiotherapists.
The new clinic’s design and layout, colours, furniture and therapy equipment, reflects the focus on holistic care, trust and professionalism.
Procurement Manager, Daria Drygas, explained that the design of the new FND clinic?blends functionality with comfort, “ensuring a supportive open and spacious feel for both patients and staff,” Daria added.
Dr Perry said: “With the launch of our outpatient and outreach services, we are ensuring that more individuals have access to the world-class care that has already transformed lives.”
