MUM’S THE WORD AT MILFORD HOUSE

Residents at Barchester Healthcare’s Milford House care home, in Salisbury, celebrated Mother’s Day with visits and calls from family members near and far. The home was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and bunting for the occasion.

Staff at Milford House arranged a special Mother’s Day lunch in the Conservatory where family and friends joined residents to celebrate. The room and all the tables were festively decorated with a lovely spring theme and Head Chef, Kevin Oborne prepared a special menu which included a traditional Lamb roast to mark the day.

Senior General Manager, Aga Musial said: “We’ve all had a really lovely day. It has been so good to see family members who were able to visit in person and to have calls with those who are further away. Our residents enjoyed a fantastic lunch and then a lovely afternoon enjoying the wonderful sunshine which heralded in the first day of British Summer Time. Here at Milford we focused on all wonderful ladies; mothers, aunts, godmothers and those who have meant something special to us and days like these are so important as we celebrate those who play, or have played such a pivotal role in our lives.”

As one resident at Milford House, commented: “We have been so spoiled today, the staff always go to great lengths to make sure days like this are so special. It was wonderful to see my family and to be able to spend some quality time together.”

Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
