Bramwell Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was alive with joy and celebration on Friday 11th April, as residents, staff, and families came together for the home’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event welcomed children and families from the local Bramwell neighbourhood, who were invited to join residents in a fun-filled morning of Easter egg hunting. In a delightful twist, the eggs were hidden by the residents themselves, creating a meaningful and playful exchange between generations. The Easter Egg Hunt is a cherished tradition at Bramwell, born from the home's commitment to intergenerational connection. Children often visit Bramwell to take part in activities with the residents, and the joy these visits bring inspired the team to host an Easter celebration that includes the wider community. The atmosphere on the day was vibrant and full of laughter. After the hunt, everyone gathered at a photo booth to capture special memories before sharing cakes and chocolates together. A standout moment came when one of the residents proudly showed the children her crochet work, sparking amazement and admiration among the young visitors. Home Manager Mabel summarised the event, commenting, “It was beautiful day with our residents, staff, families and children from our neighbourhood enjoying Easter egg hunting.” The Easter egg hunt continues to be a meaningful event at Bramwell, offering residents a chance to connect with their community, enjoy the energy of young visitors, and create lasting memories filled with warmth and joy.
