Staff, residents, and guests at Barchester’s Pentland View care home, in Thurso, celebrated Easter at the weekend with a family fun Day.
Residents, staff, and guests at Pentland View enjoyed an eggs-tensive range of Easter activities on the day, from crafts and tasty treats, to an egg hunt led by the Easter Bunny, himself! There was also a small animal petting experience in the garden, curtesy of the North Coast 500 Animal Farm Park, where residents and guests could hold and pet animals ranging from Sid the snake to a giant rabbit! Finally, memories were captured via Dynamic Sounds Disco and Events Services’ photo booth. They also provided a lovely backdrop of music for the afternoon, which saw residents and guests (and the Easter Bunny) dancing and playing party games to.
Activities Coordinator, Jeanine Sinclair, said: “What a full day it’s been! We’re so grateful to everyone that’s come to make the day special for the residents. They do love watching the children enjoy themselves and have certainly enjoyed their cuddles with the animals from the Farm Park. These events provide so much happiness for us all!”
Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
