Farmyard fun with Brook House

Residents from Brook House Nursing Home in New Malden recently made the most of the spring sunshine with a visit to Deen City Farm.

Organised as part of the home’s monthly outings, the trip gave everyone the chance to spend time in the local community and connect with nature. There was plenty to see and do at the farm, with residents enjoying time with a range of animals including rabbits, birds, ferrets, pigs, and donkeys. Residents loved feeding the goats by hand and spending time gently petting some of the smaller animals.

To round off the visit, everyone gathered in the café to enjoy a slice of cake and a cup of tea while watching the children take part in horse riding lessons.

It was a lovely day out and one that brought smiles all round. The Brook House team already have the next trip in the works, so keep an eye on the news page to see where they’re heading next!
