HC-One's Aston House Care Home, in Hayes, Middlesex, hosted a successful Easter egg hunt that brought together residents, their families, and local children for a day of fun.

The garden-based event, described as a "perfect day of fun and festivity", featured specially hidden eggs, prizes for the most successful hunters, and sweet treats for all participants. Children raced around the care home garden searching for eggs that had been strategically hidden by staff and residents.

Each young participant was provided with a special Easter basket for their collection, while residents and staff offered guidance and encouragement throughout the hunt. The celebration was made particularly special thanks to resident William Lambert and his family, who donated Easter bunnies and gifts for the occasion.

A competitive element added to the excitement, with prizes awarded to the children who collected the most eggs, though all participants were allowed to keep their sweet discoveries.

Maurice Smith, a resident that took part in the hunt, shared:

"I participated in an Easter egg hunt for the first time, and I enjoyed it so much."

Reflecting on the children's enthusiastic participation, Seema Sandeep Jose, HC-One’s Aston House's Home Manager, said:

"We hope they had fun and enjoyed their sweet treats over the Easter break - they have earned it."

The event was organised by the home’s Activity Coordinators Addvin Fernades and Andrea Vaz with the support of other staff members. Residents including Maurice, William, Doris Range and Hannah O'Connell actively participated in the day's activities, either helping to hide eggs or assisting the children in their search.
