Two staff who work at Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home won awards at the Yorkshire and Humberside heat of the Great British Care Awards, held at the National Railway Museum in York.

Donna Henderson, the registered manager, won the Registered Manager Awards at the event. Meanwhile, Lesley Burr, a carer at the home won the Dignity in Care Award.

Care group managing director, Mike Padgham, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to win the awards and to have other members of the team finalists too, it was a tremendous honour.
