A beautiful event at Kimpton Clock Tower Hotel in Manchester as the chritsmas decorations were up. Our staff were all dressed up to nines enjoying a fun filled evening and to top it our Kevin Lyon’s from Heron Hill knocked it out of the park and won his catergory “Social Care Hero”. So deserved to with a place at the national finals in March.

But this is not the end to our fabulous season of our awards. On 19th November we attended the London Region of the Great British Care Awards as we had a finalist from Head Office. This was not a normal nomination either, as not made through the Directors or Home Managers but from the EHO themselves. Our very own Group Catering Manager, Joanne Ankers.
The award they nominated Joanne for was “Outstanding Contribution to Social Care” which is for making a difference and a long term contribution to social care, a very special award.

The ceremony for all nominees was held at the Hilton Bankside Hotel and supported by her Directors we were delighted to announce that Joanne won. A deserved winner, highlighting the importance of nutrition for our residents. Next on to Nationals in March alongside Kevin.
