End of Life Care Award - The Paddocks

Staff at the Paddocks care home in Swaffham have been celebrating after they received an award for the end of life care provided. Staff have completed the Six Steps to Success programme, which is run by the Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS trust. The programme is designed to help participating homes maintain Care Quality Commission standards and ensure the best possible care for residents who are nearing the end of their lives.

Mel Cook, diversional therapist and activity coordinator at the home, said “This is a huge achievement for all involved and will result in positive changes in the present and the future for those facing end of life and their families.”
