Athena Care Homes are delighted that our founder and Managing Director, Mala Agarwal won the prestigious ‘Business Woman of the Year’ award at the recent Asian Business Awards.

Mala has been involved in the care home sector for many years and set up Athena Care Homes (UK) Ltd in 2014, starting with two homes in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. With the successful acquisition of three additional homes the group now has five homes totalling 585 beds. All Homes in the group are now rated by CQC as ‘Good’.

Successful Asian business leaders were recognised for their achievements at the ceremony, hosted by Asian Meia Groupd, publishers of Eastern Eye and Garavi Gurjarat newsweeklies.

Guests included captains of industry, MPs, community leaders and celebrities from the arts, media and entertainment world. They gave generously to a charity appeal for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
