The Above and Beyond – Shooting Star Award was awarded to Eddie Dicks, from Blenheim House Care Home. The criteria Eddie met included ‘being a dependable individual who regularly goes above and beyond in their job specification’' and the ‘individual should be able to demonstrate they have shared visions and values in line with Majesticare’. Majesticare's values are Happiness, Trust, Creativity, Heart and Family.

Eddie received a record amount of nominations from her peers and relatives of our residents. Here’s just a few amazing comments Eddie received from her nominations.
“The care she shows is outstanding”, “puts 110% into everything she does”, “she is fantastic at supporting her team”, “goes the extra mile in everything she does”, “takes a personal interest in all the residents”, “She is a total superstar!”.

During Eddie’s nomination video she was asked what her favourite thing about coming to work was and this was her response, “When we do the activities or a spontaneous singing lesson in one of the lounges or bursting into a dance and seeing a resident that makes me happy. I just love it!”.

The Above and Beyond Shooting Star Award was sponsored by Freshwater Building services and James O’Mahony came along to awards ceremony to present the trophy himself. Well done Eddie you are a Majesticare STAR!
