Andy Hewitt was the winner for Majesticare's 2019 Unsung Hero Award. Andy is the Maintenance Manager from Cavendish Park Care Home and is “adored by all”. The criteria for the award included being able to demonstrate respect for each other and respect for those around them and those they serve and a shared vision and values in line with Majesticare.
Majestiacre's Vission is to Create outstanding places where people love to live and work and their values are Trust, Happiness, Heart, Family and Creativity.

Andy received some truly remarkable comments from his nominations here’s just a few “incredibly thoughtful”, “always willing to help whoever, whenever”, “has built wonderful relationships with residents, families and staff”. Some lovely words speaking very highly of Andy from his peers and relatives of residents at Cavendish Park Care Home who have nominated him.

Andy was asked what care meant to him during his nomination video and this is just a snippet of what he said “…involving people, considering their needs and what they want and making the best day every day”.

The Unsung Hero Award was sponsored by RHM and presented by Nick Thomas, who had kindly taken time to come along to celebrate with us at the awards evening and present the trophy to personally. Well done Andy and well deserved, you are a Majesticare STAR!
