View Full Details of Quenby Rest HomeOur mum has been a Quenby Rest Home resident for almost two years now. Prior to coming to Quenby Mum lived independently at home and had care staff helping her at home. Unfortunately, this became insufficient as Mum required more assistance and reassurance, particularly at night. Quenby has undoubtedly provided great care and support to Mum and she is very contented at Quenby. Two members of staff in particular and the whole team at Quenby have been a massive reassurance to myself and my brother and our family. Mum does have dementia but she is physically mobile and enjoys the garden and activities at Quenby. She particularly enjoys her trips to the library and to the coast with a staff member on the bus (Mum has a bus pass). A key quality of Quenby is that Mum has the chance to speak to staff and residents, she does enjoy chatting and socialising which she can do at Quenby much more so than when she was at home. Thank you to all the team at Quenby for taking such good care of Mum.
I was absolutely delighted at the wonderful care, understanding and helpfulness of all of the staff at this home. They always were polite, helpful and pleased to help us gain our mobility and use of our body back after laying in the hospital with very little thought to our needs. The food was very good, with one particular lady who made home-cooked cakes, pies etc. The home had an extremely friendly atmosphere, the permanent residents seemed really happy being there.
My nan came here for a rest to homestay and now she doesn't want to go home! The staff are incredible. They are like a family and make you feel part of it. They are attentive and caring. Any sign of Nan not being 100% they are doing checks, samples and talking to the doctor. I could not be more grateful for the team at Quenby. Also, the food is amazing! Always options and always fresh! Thank you, Quenby for making my nan comfortable, safe and happy.
My dad was sent to Quenby Rest home for assessment and I can't speak highly enough of the staff. Carers, management, cleaners, laundry staff - all of them were friendly and welcoming both to Dad and to me. Residents were treated with kindness and respect and we were kept informed of everything that was happening with Dad. Thanks to all the staff for the care and compassion they showed to both of us at a difficult time.
Dad was at Quenby for 4 weeks of respite care. What a fabulous experience. This is a really caring home with every member of staff working as a team. Such patient, kind and helpful carers. Nothing is too much trouble. Such a welcoming environment. Everyone from maintenance, kitchen, laundry, carers, team leaders, and management were so friendly. It was a pleasure to visit. Dad really flourished and is doing well back home. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, the best care ever. Thank you for everything, Quenby!
My dad spent almost four weeks at Quenby for respite care following a hospital admission. The care he received was fantastic, and the staff were always very attentive, friendly and happy towards all the residents and visitors. He was extremely well looked after and had fun with games, activities, entertainment and fresh air in the garden. Thank you to all the staff at Quenby.
My mother is a resident at Quenby. I visit often from the US and it's a huge relief to me that she is being looked after by the staff at the home. The people who work at Quenby are excellent and I feel that not only are they conscientious towards the cleanliness and operations of the home but they are caring and humorous people as well. The staff seem to have good morale and are open, friendly and attentive. I think this makes an enormous difference in the day-to-day atmosphere of the place. It's clean, the food is very good and there is a devotion to making sure that residents are engaged and active where possible. It's quite a lively place and yet residents do have time on their own - but I like that people are not left to just sit on their own for too long. I feel that the staff are decent people who are dedicated to the dignity of the residents.
I cannot praise this home enough. The care they showed to my mum and our family was incredible, nothing was too much trouble for them. The home-cooked food was lovely as were the homemade cakes, plus lots of cups of tea. The person who does the entertainment is brilliant and I really enjoyed his quizzes and he encourages all the residents to join in too. Such a lovely caring home, I cannot thank you all enough.
Cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the care and attention that they gave my mum while she was there. Not only did they look after her, but they also looked after her visitors as well. Everything is done with a smile.
Quenby Rest Home provides an exceptional service as all the staff go above and beyond any expectations you may have. They cannot do enough for residents and visitors. We felt like we had hit gold with this care home and we cannot recommend it enough. Whatever stage the resident is at, they cater for and as the family, we were all welcomed in with open arms. Everything is truly wonderful, the staff, the accommodation, the cleanliness, the food and drinks and even the entertainment! You are amazing!
We are very happy with Dad's care at Quenby Rest Home, the staff are very caring. Food is always good and Dad is encouraged to join in with socialising in the day room. Staff are always friendly when we visit.
My husband and I, plus the family, had a lovely wedding anniversary party at Quenby.
Our mum joined Quenby Care Home in November 2021 and I cannot praise enough the standard of care, love and support that she is given. The residents enjoy lots of activities, singing and dancing resulting in lots of joy and laughter. Mum absolutely loves the food! We feel so happy and relieved that our mum is in a most wonderful care home. Well done Quenby!
My husband has been in Quenby since April of last year when I could no longer cope with his care alone as he has vascular dementia. All the staff are kind and helpful and look after the residents with lots of care, laughs and cuddles. Christmas and New Year they put on lots of games and parties for the residents to enjoy. A very happy place for our loved ones to be and my husband seems happy and contented in there. Wonderful Staff.
I had my mum in another home which was awful. Finally got her moved to Quenby, it is the best thing I have ever done. The staff are fantastic, caring and go way beyond. I honestly believe you can’t get better care than Quenby. Thank you all at Quenby.
My mother has recently become a resident at Quenby and at the age of only 72, we as a family have found this transition very difficult. I must say that Quenby have been outstanding with providing my mother with the care that she needs. The transition has been made all the more difficult with the current Covid controls in place but the staff have been absolutely amazing at keeping me updated and well informed about what is going on. My mother has a beautiful, clean and well-presented room and she is always given plenty to eat and drink. The staff are always calm and pleasant and I really have to give a very special mention to the certain staff who are absolutely amazing. This very special lady certainly found her calling in life when she became the deputy manager and an outstanding carer at Quenby. It takes a very special person to be a carer and Quenby has some of the best!
Care staff are always very happy in their work and connect very well with the residents. The communication between the home and residents family is amazing, and they make good use of social media, which is so important at this time. They continue to use new ideas to entertain the residents and keep them busy. My mother has dementia, so doesn't really know us her children any more, but I can truly say in her own world in the home, she seems very content. I couldn’t ask for anything more than that.
Unfortunately, due to Covid, we have not been able to visit my Mum since she went into the home, but all my dealings with the staff have been very positive; they all seem very happy and helpful. There seems to be a lot of activities for the residents and interactions are possible through social media. I am very happy that Mum is getting 1st class care.
Just a couple of words for the staff at Quenby, brilliant, fantastic, caring, sharing and loving! So thank you so much for looking after our mum at the age of 92, she has come on leaps and bounds since you’ve all been looking after her. The transformation in just a few weeks is remarkable.
My mum has dementia and Quenby is her home, her family and friends. At this very testing time for all of us, her whole family are so glad she is somewhere she gets looked after completely. Cuddles, chat, entertained, personal care to a very high standard. Excellent meals, home kept clean, clothes changed and washed frequently. I cannot thank everyone who works at Quenby enough for looking after my mum. I recommend and praise Quenby to everyone I know.
