View Full Details of Bethel HouseMy sister in law has been a resident for 6 months. The care, kindness, individuality and professionalism has been excellent. Staff welcome visitors with a smile and friendly persona irrespective of the time of day or day of the week. I have been in a number of care homes. Bethel House is top of my list.
My mother had been a resident for 10 months prior to her passing. She had advanced dementia at admission and was very frightened about needing care but all the staff made her transition from her own home to Bethel House a positive and enriching experience. She settled very quickly and enjoyed all the activities, food and making new friends All the staff are so friendly and professional, recognising her individual needs. Her end-of-life care was kind and thoughtful and made a difficult time much more bearable. Highly recommend both the environment and especially the team.
All the staff at Bethel House, without exception, go above and beyond what is expected. My husband is happy here and well looked after, if I did have any questions they would be answered, truthfully and with understanding. This is not the first care home my husband has been in and exceeds all my expectations and far outshines the others. Everywhere is extremely clean and the staff are always looking to find themselves busy and helpful.
Dad reluctantly moved into Bethel House in January this year. The Bethel staff and residents are a close-knit family who happily took him into their hearts. The staff are so caring, providing for the needs of the residents with dignity and respect. They ensure their safety and provide an impressive programme of activities and entertainment, which includes a daily dose of singing - which is, by far, dad's favourite activity, if he is not found eating the great choice of home-cooked food. Last month, we celebrated Dad's 84th birthday and the chef made an impressive cake and the staff and residents all came to sing to him. He was very overwhelmed. Dad has settled well into the Bethel family and he can often be found happily chatting to everyone who will listen. As a family, we can't thank the Bethel staff enough for caring for Dad. It means everything.
Mum first moved here on 31st July. I was worried about the sudden move, that she wouldn't settle but after a few days, she did with the help of all the friendly staff. The home cook gorgeous meals and my mum being a fussy eater, eats everything now. The care home provides very good activities and puts on lots of parties through the summer months. I'm always offered coffee and the cakes are delicious. From what I've seen over the last three months, I have been extremely happy, 100%.
Mum has been at Bethel House now for a good 18 months, and I have been very impressed with all aspects of Mum's care. The staff are all so caring and create a positive attitude with the residents. I am really impressed with the entertainment and activities that run - such a variety. I feel Bethel House is a lovely place for Mum. Thank you.
I would just like to say that my husband has been in Bethel House since January 2024 and in all that time the care staff have been wonderful despite him not always being cooperative and in the best humour. The house is always clean and tidy and there is always something going on for the residents if they want to join in. When I visit I have always been welcomed with a smile and very often one of the carers stops to have a chat. I don't know how the staff cope day after day and keep smiling and are 'friends' to all the residents.
The manager and carers at Bethel House are extremely caring and really want to provide a happy environment for their residents. They are full of smiles towards my mother and the atmosphere has become really welcoming for visitors too. Housekeeping are brilliant... Mum's room is very clean. The food is really good and the entertainment staff have some great ideas. They all work as a whole team which means that anyone and everyone takes care of my mum. I would recommend Bethel House!
Both my parents have resided at Bethel House for a period of three years. My mother has advanced Alzheimer's and my father was in heart failure, both with complex needs. The care home has been modernised during the past year and the communal areas and garden really are lovely. But, more than anything, it's the staff that make the real difference to all the residents' lives and their families too. The team at Bethel House is genuinely caring and it's very reassuring to know that when your loved ones are in their care. The care home is going from strength to strength and I would highly recommend it.
It was my first visit to Bethel House and was most impressed with all the staff, how they handled the residents when they had a problem. It was happy and lots of fun, so clean and welcoming. Ido hope I will get the chance to visit again and will recommend Bethel House to my friends.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for taking good care of my brother. He has told me he loved it there and for my brother to say that, well it's very unexpected. Also, a big thank you to the home for making this happen.
Bethel House is a very welcoming home, the staff are caring, polite and happy and this has a positive effect on the residents. Food is presented well and the residents are always given a choice. The home is always up to a high standard of cleanliness.
Having taken some time to get used to life in a care home, my partner is now settled and has adapted to his new life. Throughout some challenging times, he has been helped, reassured and comforted, also treated with respect by many of the staff at Bethel House, many of the staff at Bethel House who are admirable for their patience and care, I am very grateful for this and happy we chose Bethel House.
This care home is very well run by the manager. The staff employed really are very lovely, smiley and caring. I truly believe the people employed absolutely do their best and are genuinely caring people. Rooms are kept spotlessly clean by staff and the food is becoming better and better all the time. Nowhere is the same as being in your own home, but when that is not possible Bethel House is a nice place to be.
My mother has been happy and relaxed in Bethel House. The environment is ideal for my mother. She is happy with her room and likes the food. I think the program of activities is excellent giving the residents a variation on their day. My mother is well looked after, having her hair done every week. She also likes having her nails done. Personal care is extremely important and my mother often comments on the care she has received.
Well, Bethel House, I say excellent cared home, as a family we went to see plenty of homes and Bethel really came out with top marks. Our aunt is very happy here, the quality of care, activities, great food and friendliness is outstanding, a huge well done to everyone working and caregiving at Bethel House. Thank you.
Staff are helpful and friendly as usual. Residents are treated with care and dignity. Absolutely no concerns over safety. Activities are plenty and have improved over the past six months, both in frequency and quality. Dad rates the food as excellent!
The carers and staff at Bethel House have been excellent in the care and attention given to our aunt who suffered from dementia. Our aunt was at Behtel House for more than 6 years and was happy throughout her stay. It is always difficult to choose a care home for a loved one but we are glad we chose Bethel House. It was a very good choice.
My overall rating is good (as opposed to excellent) because my dad hasn't been there for more than 3 months. Bethal House has a very homely and welcoming atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble - I cannot praise everyone who works there enough. They do an amazing job day in and day out. My father is very happy, comfortable and well cared for at Bethal House which means the world to him and his family. Well done to all these great key people - I can't thank you enough.
When I was looking for a place to live I looked at several nice places but Bethel house has all the things that I liked. My room is well situated looking out at a very nice garden. I told my daughter this is as good as it gets. I have settled and just love it here.
