From the very first day that mum was here she seemed happy and relaxed. She had some health problems including some falls when she was in her own bungalow, and often used to say she wanted to go home. We think she felt that Dorset House was her home. She never mentioned going home again.

My sister-in-law has been a resident in Dorset House for a month or so. We are more than happy with the tender loving care she receives. The whole staff are considerate, caring and capable of looking after her. From the ever caring manager down to whoever else is concerned in the welfare of my sister in law. She is getting better by the day and able to face the world following the passing of her husband. Well done to every one concerned.

My husband was admitted here in July 2024. They have taken such good care of him at all times. He has settled well but can be a little challenging. When this has happened he has been treated with love respect and infinite patience. They also support me when I am upset about situations. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dorset House to any family looking for a nursing home for their loved one.

My father is having a lovely time here and the care he is getting is wonderful. There is always someone there to deal with any little problem he might have and the staff are all so caring. Everyone knows him and they go out of their way to make him feel at home.

My dad arrived yesterday and is settling in well. Everyone is lovely and very kind. I find the home very comforting and warm and think it will suit my dad very ell. He seems happy which is very important to me.

Dorset House is a lovely care home. The staff are very hard working. Mum is very settled. The food and kitchen staff are wonderful too. Their entertainment is good too.

My father has been at Dorset House for a number of years now. He is always happy and has a lovely relationship with the staff. He will be 100 years old later this month and Dorset House have been kind enough to allow us to have a fairly large party for him.

Mum's first observation upon joining Dorset House was that everyone was happy because they wanted to be here. She was referring to residents and staff. Her medical needs are well met with understanding and diligence. She enjoys her food and the meals are beautifully presented and delicious. We, as family, appreciate the fact that staff know her well and take time to chat with both humour and respect.

Dorset House is an excellent home with care. The facilities and grounds are first class. It is spotlessly clean and well cared for. The manager and staff are excellent, kind, caring and understanding. They listen to the views of residents and families and help in any way they can. It was a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which takes away the pressure and concerns of relatives and residents. The food, care and activities are first-class. They always listen to you if you have any concerns, which they deal with and rectify as soon as possible. I feel so relieved now I know my husband is in a safe and caring home.

I have only been in Dorset House for a week and everybody I have met has been amazing and made me feel at home. I was exhausted when I came and I am slowly feeling better and I can't thank them enough.

The family found the staff very friendly and professional. The facilities at the home are excellent. The food was very good and the choice was first class. The room was clean, tidy and very bright with a nice view of the garden. I would thoroughly recommend Dorset House to any family thinking of using this home.

My husband has dementia. He has been a resident at Dorset House Nursing Home since April 2020. I have been very happy with my husband's care and know that I made the right decision choosing Dorset House. The manager and her staff are very supportive and kind to me whenever I visit and make every effort to make my husband's life as good as it can be.

My father became a resident in August 2021. I could not ask for better care or support for my father. I live abroad but I have weekly facetime calls and every time I visit Dorset House I am greeted with friendly smiles from everyone. I can see that my dad is happy and settled and that is the most important thing for me. Choosing Dorset House to look after my father was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make but it was the best decision. It is just wonderful.
