View Full Details of The Beeches Care HomeMy brother took my dad for a look round and he said the staff, cleanliness, decor and facilities were just what dad needs. Dad went in the Saturday before Christmas 2024 and settled straight in. Christmas day was spent having lots of fun for the residents and families visiting. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you need to know anything, just ask or if they think you should need to know they tell you. Keep up the great work, thank you.
Mu husband has brain damage and staff have gone the extra mile to help him settle.
This is not a good review. My mum had a fall last month. It took the care home two hours to contact me, after it took an hour for an ambulance to be called, only when my mum said she was in pain. My mum had broken her hip, the staff picked my mum up off the floor after a fall which they should not have done before she was checked over. I did speak to the manager, she was not very nice to talk to, saying the protocol was followed and staff were dealing with another emergency. Sorry, but there should be staff on to deal with these situations. I am not happy with the care mum received at that time.
The care given and received is adequate. My only quibble is when I am downstairs I don't get to go to the toilet when asking to go as they are short-staffed and busy.
Happy environment. The staff are very helpful. Plenty of variety of activities. Always kept informed of medical issues and events coming up at the home.
My mother-in-law is very happy at The Beeches. She has been here for almost a year now. She is settled, feels looked after and is given just what she needs. The staff are receptive and appear to care for the residents. I cannot fault the care and compassion I've witnessed on my visits. Thank you.
We are very happy with the standard of care at The Beeches Care Home. The recent management changes have given some stability and direction. Any issues we have encountered have been adequately dealt with. The home has limited facilities due to its age and layout, however, staff endeavour to make the best out of what they have.
I am very happy in my new care setting. The staff have made me very welcome and treat me with kindness and dignity at all times which has made what could be a traumatic time in my life be quite a pleasant transition. Many thanks to all the staff.
What an amazing place, the residents are their number one priority, after having to take my mother out of another supposed care /nursing home (would love to name but for legal reasons, I can’t), what an absolute difference. All staff are polite, respectful, and speak to you. Make family and friends feel welcome and at ease, as you know your loved ones are being cared for. The manager you will see out of the office ensures that all residents are being monitored and treated properly. They only take on one new resident a week (if space is available) to ensure that your loved one settles in well, and receives all they need to enable them to feel at home and feel comfortable. I can’t praise enough just how at ease I feel that my mum is receiving the best care they can offer, I have actually noticed I am sleeping better at night not worrying how my mum is doing. They invite all visitors to bring in young people, you can see the faces of all residents light up, and when I took my dog in - wow!
My mum has been residing at The Beeches Care Home for almost three years now. She has thrived at the home and in some ways is now happier and more healthy than when she arrived. She seems to get on well with her living arrangements, other residents (some at least) and staff. I have only seen her upset about something on rare occasions. The home also caters well for her gluten-free diet. Overall, moving to The Beeches has been a very positive move and she (and we) have had a much less stressful and safer experience than if she had remained at home.
Mum has been a resident in the care home for many years. The management staff have been wonderful, efficient, professional and friendly. I believe we, as a family, have been lucky to have placed Mum in such a caring environment. Thank you - all staff and management for your support and love.
My wife is happy here, it is a clean and friendly environment for her. I am very satisfied with her care.
Would highly recommend to anyone. Always do the best for Mum and others. Nothing is too much trouble. We have no worries about Mum in the home; she is well looked after and cared for. The staff are wonderful, always looking out for the residents.
My mum came here in February this year after being in hospital and rehabilitation after a stroke. Her needs are physical but communication is fine. The staff have been brilliant. They are so supportive and deal with Mum with care and patience. The only thing she finds hard is making friends with other residents, as many of them cannot communicate as well. This is obviously not the home's fault.
I cannot praise the staff enough. They were a great support to my mum and always treated her with dignity. She spent six months at the Beeches and during this time, has made many friends.
Very good.
It's been a terrible time with covid-19 as I've not been able to see my mum. I can honestly say the staff, all of them have done a fantastic job looking after all the residents in the home especially the manager. Hopefully, things will get back to normal very soon - mum will be able to get her hair done and her feet and I can hug her.
My father became a resident at The Beeches in March 2020. It was just before the Covid19 lockdown, because of this I wasn't able to help my dad with his transition from hospital to The Beeches. I thought this would make it harder for my dad to settle, however, I needn't have worried, the team of carers made my father very welcome and he is thriving in the home. I genuinely believe that if my father hadn't been allowed in the home, or if the hospital had sent him home, he would now be dead. My father is now thriving under the care of the carers, his quality of life has massively improved and he is happy. Thank you Beeches.
This is a lovely care home and I'm very pleased I managed to get my father into here. Even during these difficult and unprecedented times of 'lockdown', the staff have taken every precaution to keep the residents safe and well. I am kept well informed of my father's care and any changes which need to be made. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I know a few local people who have had relatives in The Beeches and the home comes highly recommended.
My elderly Aunty has lived at The Beeches for a year now. She has been treated with unfailing kindness, patience and humour. The staff there are friendly and caring, treating the residents, many of whom can be quite difficult at times, with amazing patience. My mind is at ease, knowing that my frail 89-year-old Aunty will be well looked after there by people who genuinely care, as her dementia inevitably worsens. Importantly, the staff have been professional and proactive in keeping The Beeches free of Covid 19 during the current pandemic.
