I find it a very caring home, clean and warm. Staff always on hand to update on mother. They all care as if it's their own family. Which leaves you happy to leave them in their care.
A clean caring and supportive home. Excellent staff who go above and beyond. If needed always and warm welcome by all staff when visiting.
The resident I visit at least 3 times a week fully endorse all the ratings I have entered. Should the need arise in the future, I very much hope they have a vacancy.
Everyone working in Cadogan Court is very friendly and caring. The option to use a restaurant, dining room or lounge for meals - not to mention your own bedroom - makes my mum feel she is on holiday. There are always staff available on her dementia ward should they be needed.
We are extremely happy with the care and support give to my mother. The staff's understanding of our mother's condition and the care they have given her has been of the highest standard. We would also like to thank all the staff for the support they have given to us as a family.
A few weeks short of her 100th birthday my mother moved into Cadogan Court. We could not have found a better place - all the staff are so kind, attentive and professional and my mother often comments that she feels comfortable and well cared for. As a lifelong gardener, she was delighted to pair up with another resident and cultivate a patch of garden where she could grow flowers, and spend quiet, reflective moments. The building is clean and light with views over the city and there is plenty of outdoor space and seating. The rooms are spacious, but sometimes we enjoy being able to take my mother to one of the cosy lounges when we visit her. Having sampled the food, I can attest to the fact that the catering is excellent and the chef will cater for individual needs. We’re very happy to have found such an excellent care home.
I had to make one of the hardest decisions in my life and put my mum into a care home. Cadogan Court was my first choice and it definitely didn't disappoint me. The staff and team are so lovely and they have made my mum feel so welcome and she is so happy, nothing is too much trouble for them. It's a lovely modern building, very clean, tidy and so welcoming. There is always lots of activities for the residents to join in with. Thank you to everyone for caring for my mum.
My first contact with Cadogan Court was on the telephone and was greeted by the most pleasant and professional person ever! This was the ongoing theme as we progressed through the system. Once we had registered and had an off-site evaluation, we saw the court and were so impressed. A beautiful, modern building, beautifully clean and welcoming. Every member of the team, from the home manager down, are so kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Always available to chat and reassure too!
Mum lived at Cadogan Court for fifteen months and, in that time, the care and consideration that Mum got from all the staff was excellent. The whole care home is run with a real professionalism and understanding for the resident, making the experience feel that this is your home. Sadly, Mum passed away at Cadogan, but the end of life care was exceptional. Both myself and my wife will be eternally grateful and would not hesitate in recommending Cadogan as a top care home.
Overall my mother receives very good care at Cadagon Court. The care staff (both regular and agency) are always friendly, polite, professional and helpful. The management and reception staff likewise. The home seems heavily reliant on agency staff and Mum reports the proportion, relative to the regular staff, has increased in the last year and that there are always new faces. Mum is immobile and relies on the staff for all her personal needs. She reports that it now seems to take longer for a member of staff to attend to her when she presses her 'call button' and she is regularly told that she is in a queue for assistance and must wait. She recognises that the care staff are stretched much of the time and do their best. The home tries to offer a programme of activities but at times this has been very limited and if staff are not available to take Mum to the activity she cannot attend. Mum therefore spends most of her time alone in her room which she finds monotonous.
I have the utmost admiration for the level of care and attention given by all members of staff, making this a happy "home". Outings and events are frequent and indoor facilities well provided for, i.e. T.V. etc. Visitors are most welcome and family members are made to feel comfortable. Communications between home and carers are well catered for. Medical aid is always on hand and well supervised. I for one, considering the circumstances that brought me into the home, am very satisfied.
Our mum moved to Cadogan Court in November 18 after my dad died. She was very happy there right up to her sudden death in March 22. My sisters and I would like to praise the manager and her leadership team and all the magnificent staff for their wonderful hard work on behalf of all the residents. They are always helpful and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble! Our mum’s care was first class. She felt safe, warm, well cared for and never lonely. During the Pandemic the home worked tirelessly to keep the residents safe and where possible attempted to continue to provide activities and keep a sense of normality. The home ensured that visiting pods and visiting rooms were made available to relatives as soon as possible. I became an essential carer when allowed and was made to feel very welcome, spending some precious last few months with mum in her room again. In conclusion, I would not hesitate in recommending this home to your loved ones. It is a real gem of a place and I will miss my visits there!
My father-in-law has been a resident for a number of months now. The care and love he has received in Cadogan Court Care Home is really quite exceptional. Letting a care home look after your loved ones is a massive decision and can bring on many anxious moments. I can only say that the care and attention he is receiving is truly unsurpassed, compared to many others we have experienced in other situations with my own parents, my uncle and other visits to homes in my professional career. A massive thank you to all involved, keep up the truly great standards, especially challenging given the past couple of years. Well done!
Undertook the respite care of my father who is a Freemason. Dad was very pleased to have been able to stay at "this lovely hotel!". He also enjoyed his trip out to the pub! High quality care with superb facilities.
My experience on my arrival in early March, I was made to feel very welcome and felt at home right away. Considering I had lived in Minehead for 82 years, this felt like home. Safety is excellent, the staff are first class, and very helpful every day. The meals, especially breakfast, is the finest you will ever have.
My mum has been very happy here - she came here just as the first lockdown started and we didn't expect this all to go on so long. She's decided to stay as she's been comfortable and safe and has made friends. She tells me that the food is very good! All of the staff have been extremely helpful over this very difficult period, and have done their utmost to enable some visiting. The visitor's pods have been brilliant as Mum can see us, and we're now hoping to try the nominated visitor scheme. Mum and another resident have taken on a patch of garden, and that has been amazing. It's made her very happy indeed. She proudly said she was supplying the kitchen with salad last year. Brilliant that this could happen, so thank you for all your care and thoughtfulness.
Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you for all the care you have given to my mum and your support for me too. You have exceeded my expectations in the level of care given and have provided around the clock support through the difficult time of lockdown. The only reason we are moving my mum is to be closer to family however we are very sad to move her from the home because of the wonderful support from the careers and how they have handled the situations we have been put through.
Mum moved to Cadogan Court in February 2019 and spent a very happy time there right up to her death in November 2020. Cadogan Court is a wonderful facility with staff who go beyond all expectations to make every resident feel at home. From the time Mum arrived, she was included in a multitude of activities to provide quality of life and a feeling of well-being. Whenever any of the family visited, we were always made to feel part of the wider Cadogan Court family; we shared many mealtimes with Mum and found the quality of the food to be excellent. Personal care was exemplary; the care and attention Mum received extended her life and the quality of her life. Mum suffered from dementia that worsened during her residence, however, the care and patience of every member of staff were fantastic. I was there close to the end and was humbled by the dignity, love and respect afforded to Mum. Be assured your loved one could not be in better hands.
My father has recently passed away but had enjoyed living at Cadogan for the last 16 months since my mother had passed away. She also lived at Cadogan and for nearly 11 years. My father used to visit my mother every single day and enjoyed having lunch with her daily and stayed with her all the time he could. I can only but praise all the staff at Cadogan over the years they have been compassionate, caring and genuine. I will miss everyone at Cadogan as have made close connections to a lot of staff there from every department from all the lovely catering staff who looked after my mother and father to the domestic staff who used to chat to my father daily and of course all the caring care staff, and in the case of my mother in her last few months, the nurses. I would not hesitate to recommend Cadogan Court for anyone's loved one to live and be cared for.
I can only offer high praise for the care given by all the staff at Cadogan Court to my mother who arrived there in February 2020. My mother is receiving end of life care and is treated with the utmost respect from every member of staff, the nursing and care staff, the housekeeping and catering staff along with the management staff. They all take the time to have a few kind words with mum and the catering staff not only made her a birthday cake but brought it to her room and sang Happy Birthday to her. When I first viewed the home I was overwhelmed at how happy and content the residents AND the staff were. Even in these very trying times, having to deal with the threat of Coronavirus, the staff here are totally dedicated to ensuring everyone is well looked after and safe. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cadogan Court to anyone searching for a safe and happy environment for their loved one. They really are kind, supportive and trusted.
