View Full Details of Station VillaA relaxing atmosphere; residents seem happy. My brother seems well and happy and looked well-cared for. Made welcome at my visit.
My sister is cared for and looked after very well. She, at last, has developed a friendship with another resident. I feel secure, in that she is encouraged to mobilise appropriately. Observation of any deterioration and remedy has been dealt with appropriately, utlisisng wider resources as necessary.
I still find the partings really difficult but I remember once when I took my son back to Station Villa he went in so happily, saying 'hello, hello, hello' to everyone, whether anyone was there or not, after that I had peace and thought this is the right thing to do. He's happy and accepted.
My daughter moved to Station Villa last year after having a series of traumatic experiences in her previous placement. The staff team at Station Villa are more experienced and much kinder than her previous placement. They have worked hard to welcome her and get to know her. She has formed some excellent relationships with individual staff and has consistently spoken positively of them. Her transition has been well managed through the interruption of the COVID pandemic, dealing successfully with a change of management structure and a deterioration of her physical health. The staff and managers are willing to meet and discuss progress with me and act on suggestions that may improve her care. She is and feels safe in her new surroundings, and efforts are made to support trips out to enjoy a range of activities. The food provided is of a good standard and often includes requests made by my daughter. I look forward to continuing the collaborative approach with the managers and staff team.
I am extremely satisfied with the care and attention my aunt receives. She has settled very well and always appears happy and content when we visit. My aunt has had a traumatic few years, and finally, her sense of humour is returning. The team surrounding her have learnt her individualness!
The staff and residents always welcoming. The staff engage well with my brother and will always answer any of my relevant questions, keeping me well informed. My brother needs are being met and he seems settled in his new home.
My sister moved to Station Villa in the 1980's following a very unhappy expereince in a care home in Sussex. So she is a long term resident. For years, I lived in the area and was able to maintain a close relationship with her. Since I moved to further away, the staff have assisted me in every way, transport, good communication etc. to keep our family ties, whilst ensuring she is safe and happy in her home.
