View Full Details of Broadgate Nursing HomeAs a visitor seeing my husband, I am always made welcome from all members of staff. The care and dignity of all residents are appreciated, they do their very best to accommodate the needs of the residents. I've been visiting the home for over two years, I do get involved with fundraising, of which I enjoy, it's just like having extra family members.
My wife came to Broadgate Nursing Home in August 2024. Her care has been excellent and she is well looked after by a dedicated and caring staff. I know that she is in good hands.
My mum has been in Broadgate Nursing Home for two years and is incredibly well looked after. The staff are all brilliant with the residents and their relatives. The home provides five-star service in every respect.
I am very pleased with the care provided for my mother at Broadgate Nursing Home where she has been for nearly two years. I liked the reception I got when I first visited. Although furnishings etc. are not luxurious, there is a great atmosphere of calm and kindness. One of the things that struck me straight away was the way the staff behaved to each other, with respect and friendliness and without sense of hierarchy. They are nice to me, to my mother and other residents and communicate well with each other. They don't impose unnecessary rules and always make me feel welcome. They strike me as patient, intelligent and skilled. They always try to deal with things that crop up. I know that many of them are overqualified for the work they do. I don't know all the ins and outs of running this home but I am impressed with the efficiency of all, laundry, catering, cleaning, house-keeping, medical, caring and management all seem to be working in amazing harmony to keep my mother happy and safe.
Extremely warm and welcoming staff. Excellent respect shown for residents and visitors. Strong efforts to deliver individualised care within the inevitable limitations of staff-to-resident ratio. Brilliant to have an on-site handyperson. The corridors of the building feel institutionalised rather than homely. At times, a chaotic sensory environment. Recommend sensory support training for staff. Overall, a family-feel to Broadgate Nursing Home.
Staff and management have the best interest of the residents' needs. Always kept informed of any medical problems which arise and get him any treatment that's required as a matter of urgency. I am pleased he was able to get a place here, gives me peace of mind.
From the very outset the manager and her team of staff gave valued advice and guidance, proactively liaising with and supporting our father's transfer from hospital for a period of palliative care. From the moment our dad arrived at Broadgate, he was welcomed and treated with dignity and kindness throughout his stay. The staff were always cheerful, caring and encouraging, not only the nurses and carers, but also all the additional roles needed to make all the residents' stay comfortable and homely. Although only at Broadgate for a few weeks, we were able to set up Dad's room so it felt like his with his personal belongings and television, and there were no structured visiting hours - we loved that we could come and go throughout the day and evening. We were never made to feel that we were in the way, and we too felt part of the Broadgate family for the duration of his stay. We will always be grateful for the kindness, compassion and care shown to my dad when he needed it most.
My father spent time at Broadgate Care Home recently. I wanted to write this review because they made a difficult time so much easier to bear. The support the staff gave us as a family, and my father, was incredible. Broadgate gives a warm welcome to everyone. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They treated Dad with dignity and respect throughout his stay. I highly recommend this wonderful care home.
My husband went into the nursing home in need of full nursing care, he was also registered blind. He was so warmly welcomed and cared for all the time he lived there. The staff were always available and able to meet his needs especially as these increased as he deteriorated in his health. We became known by name as we came to visit and visiting could be at any time. If ever we had any questions about his care or needs staff were always available to answer us. His room was kept clean and tidy and there was always a chair on which a visitor could sit. The staff were always respectful and gentle in their care of my husband and diligent in the repeated caring tasks that were needed.
The care team at Broadgate Nursing Home are amazing. Through all circumstances, they have been respectful, helpful, easy to contact and get along with. Their kindness and support have been overwhelming. They are like a family to the residents and their relatives.
My mother was under total nursing care. The staff were so friendly, helpful and treated her with the utmost respect, kindness and total all-round care. The management was so helpful and caring. I cannot recommend the place highly enough.
The care staff are excellent, they are always very friendly and very helpful and they treat all their patients and visitors with respect. I would highly recommend this care home without question, thank you to all the staff.
The staff are very caring and helpful and keep you updated with what our mum is doing. They do activities, songs and it is very good at keeping residents engaged. There is a warm welcome when you come to visit, all the staff have smiles on their faces, it is a very happy place. My mum is happy.
I initially visited Broadgate Care Home for its ideal location for my mother to live and relatives to be able to visit. First impressions were very good, the home was very clean, the manager was very welcoming and introduced me to her staff on duty who were very pleasant and well presented. I was impressed that management had in a relatively short time improved the care home's rating and strived to improve things further. Since my mother moved in she has been treated very well with respect and dignity despite Mum often being a bit feisty and uncooperative. A nice touch when she moved in was to have her nails painted to help her feel welcome in her new home. Staff are very friendly and have been very caring and supportive to my mother and to the family at a difficult time for us all. I have been kept informed of any changes or concerns staff have with regard to my mum's health and well-being.
From the start of my dad's care last August I have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism from all staff at Broadgate House. The staff are as concerned about my well-being as his daughter with all the challenges I have had to face with dad's care, as they are my dad. They have been marvellous in their unfailing support for me and the Care Team are so kind and friendly to us all. They have tried to accommodate anything that my dad needs both mentally and physically including external support from professionals too. They appreciate his love of gardening and feeding the birds which gives him great pleasure. He has found a lovely friend who rooms next door to him and he and his lovely wife (who visits daily) have helped to enrich his days and enliven his spirit. He fights to maintain as much independence as possible and the home understands and encourages him. Thank you for helping him to settle into this new chapter of his life.
The staff have been extremely kind, caring and attentive to my father over the past two months. I have always received a warm welcome from the staff, who take the time to get to know you and update you also. In an emergency, the response time has been exceptionally fast. I am very grateful to all at Broadgate. Thanking everyone involved in Dad's care.
Broadgate Nursing Home is highly recommended by my family, my friends and of course myself. We are very lucky to have our mother, grandmother great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother living at this beautiful care home. The manager and every staff member work professionally together and make a truly great team. Everyone works in harmony with each other from the manager through to the caretaker and I truly admire that. The home is spotlessly clean, tidy and always smells fresh. Every member of staff are always very polite, helpful, kind, caring and willing to help at the drop of a hat. They are very understanding and reassuring with all clients. I visit my mum daily and speaking from what I have observed, I honestly cannot praise and thank them all enough for the love, care and kindness, they all deserve medals. I would highly recommend this care home for your loved ones. Thanks to all of you, from all our family and friends. Keep up the fantastic work that you do.
I am so impressed by the care Broadgate is providing for my aunt. She is really known and cared about by the staff, but they also try to get to know her visitors and show caring there, also. My aunt recently turned 93 years old and Broadgate set aside a room for a small family party. We were provided with lots of helpful directions so that we could protect our aunt and other residents, as well as ourselves. It was a truly lovely occasion, well-supported by the Broadgate staff. Thank you to the Broadgate staff for all you do.
Since my aunt has become a resident at Broadgate, I (together with my sister) have visited her on several occasions and have found the management and staff to be very welcoming, caring and friendly. I feel that my aunt is given very good care and is known by her first name by all members of staff, making it feel very much, her home. Was very touched at how accommodating they were recently in allocating a room, so that my aunt could celebrate her birthday, with her close family. It was a beautiful occasion and I know that my aunt enjoyed it. Her room is always very clean and tidy and it is obvious that Broadgate tries to accommodate her and her family's wishes, wherever possible.
My relative was made very welcome and his health has greatly improved since his arrival (a year ago). This is due to the staff and management, who we thank very much. Keep up the good work. Many thanks.
