View Full Details of KnellwoodThis is a wonderful care home in every way. The staff right across the board are absolutely lovely and treat all the residents with kindness and compassion. I am so pleased that my mum is joining in quite a few of the weekly activities like singing and playing bingo which is truly amazing as she never participated in anything like this before. She seems really happy in her new home which is all that matters at the end of the day. It will be lovely when the weather gets a bit warmer to be able to sit outside and enjoy the lovely well kept gardens.
My Mum lived at Knellwood for almost 9 years before she sadly fell asleep for the last time on 31st December. She had many a fun time during those 9 years and made new friends in both residents and staff. She was loved by many and cared for with the utmost respect right up until her last moment there. Every member of staff is amazing in so many ways. It's not just a job to them, they really care, and that shows in everything they do. I'm proud to be included as part of the Knellwood 'family'. A huge thank you to you all.
The carers are so professional and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. The entertainment team are excellent, mum really enjoys the knitting and natter group as well as joining in with the choir. The Christmas events were really special and as a family we were really welcomed and enjoyed joining in with everyone.
Absolutely enjoy coming into Knellwood helping with activities or singing in the choir. Looking forward to fourth coming events which I am taking part in. well done Knellwood You're smashed it again!!!
My thanks to all the staff for the care my mum receives. Knellwood is in a lovely setting, the gardens are beautiful and there is always something going on during the day for her to get involved with if she wishes. I have regular feed back from staff so that mum gets the right support for her as an individual, they are never to busy to make time for her and for us as a family.
I have found this home to be exemplary on all levels. My mother moved in in August 2022. As well as Mum being fully cared for I feel as a family we are all supported in this new chapter in Mum's life. There is so much enrichment available with a super activities team. All the staff are extremely caring. As soon as you arrive you feel you are in a happy place and very welcome to visit. There are beautiful gardens where events are held or you can just go for a walk or sit and relax. The calendar of events is always full to bursting and a regular newsletter keeps you fully informed of the activities available and those which the local community can also enjoy. All the staff have time for anything you may wish to discuss or arrange such as afternoon tea for mum's friends. Being run by a trust Knellwood's priority is its residents, their care and wellbeing above all else. As my mother said, being Farnborough born and bred - if I have to go to a home I only want to go to Knellwood!
I have been overwhelmed by the care I have received in Knellwood. I came in after an accident that left me unable to care for myself. I felt scared, vulnerable and was in shock. The care and respect I experienced was second to none. I immediately felt safe and cared for. Both staff and carers were so friendly and kind. They all worked as a cohesive team which showed very clearly in the way they cared and treated me and all residents. If, when the time comes for me to move into a care home, Knellwood will be my first choice. My experience has been second to none.
My mum moved into Knellwood in March 2024, she is fully occupied and very happy. There is magnificent entertainment from the Easter and Summer fayres which welcomes the local community, to the many resident's outings. The summer solstice party and the family day were a joy to be part of. The in-house entertainment is exceptional, everyone involved at the home properly cares for both the residents and friends and families and is encouraged, informed and supported always. Recently the resident's Choir put on a wonderful performance, it was magnificent, lots of hard work paid off, it was perfect. The activities team go above and beyond, engaging all the residents, there's the knit and natter afternoons, quizzes, Church services and everything in between. The gardens and patio area are beautiful. It's both a sanctuary and enriching to all who enjoy it. In conclusion, we, feel lucky to have found Knellwood, our mum is cared for every day. Such a special place. Thank you.
I have visited various friends over the years that have become residents at Knellwood. This is such a lovely home where I always feel welcome. The grounds are beautiful, the residents are happy with lots of activities, they have lots of choices of food, and the carers are always happy to help and show kindness and patience. I highly recommend this home.
A lovely caring nursing home that makes everyone feel special. I love volunteering there it’s lots of fun and the residents have the best time would recommend it to everyone whose got that decision to make about putting their loved ones in a nursing home for the first time. You know that Knellwood will look after them to give you peace of mind.
I found Knellwood to be an exceptional care home. The care they gave my aunt was second to none in so far as that she lived 4 years longer than the doctors had predicted. All the staff bar none were kind and very caring whilst being consummately professional at all times. The facilities are excellent and the activities provided are superb and take into account everyone's needs. I cannot fault anything within Knellwood and I came in every day when my aunt was here and now I volunteer.
December was a busy month in Knellwood for the residents. With the staff and volunteers the residents were making Christmas cakes, as well as items for the residents’ stall at the annual Christmas Bazaar. Various entertainers visited the home which the residents thoroughly enjoyed and Father Christmas also called in. The outdoor decorations were stunning and the residents were very impressed. All residents’ families were invited to individual tea parties for them to enjoy with their loved ones, all at no cost to the families or residents. Knellwood really does go above and beyond for its residents and provides the best care possible. I’m really proud to be part of this home.
Great care home. Plenty for the residents to do, with lots of different choices and activities available! Family members are also welcome to join in with various activities and events and are welcome to come and go! It's nice to see the residents being put above making money which unfortunately is rare to see from many other care homes!
My nan has been at Knellwood for a few years now. She's happy there which gives us so much peace as a family. Nan loves joining in with the numerous activities on offer and likes the visiting entertainment. As a family, we are always made very welcome, and they hold family days throughout the year. Nan loves the food and the care staff have a good connection with residents.
My nan has moved into Knellwood recently. I already had links with the home so knew she was in the best place, but she is happier than any of us could have hoped. She has made friends, has a great social life, the activity team does an amazing job and the care is second to none. Nan has blossomed and we couldn’t be happier as a family.
Amazing staff, very welcoming. I volunteer at Knellwood and all the staff members from the care staff, cooking, maintenance, house keeping etc. are outstanding. I'm always made welcome, support and include in activities for the residents. I have supported residents at meal time, the selection of food prepared is amazing. Everyone is friendly, feels like one big family. The activities are second to none. I'm astounded of the activities provided for the residents, who are included. So glad I chose to volunteer at Knellwood.
Our Dad moved into Knellwood Care Home in May and I have nothing but praise for the place. The care staff have been unfailingly warm and caring. The home has always been clean and the choice of activities and food are good. Friends and relatives are welcome to visit at any time and there are plenty of quiet spaces to meet and chat (quiet lounges, as well as stunning gardens) As a family, we are now at peace as we know that Dad is content and receiving the highest level of care.
I can't speak highly enough of the standard of care, the quality of staff, and the facilities provided by Knellwood. My mum has now been a resident for more than 12 months and is very happy there. She had been reluctant to go into a care home because she is a very independent person but her frailty meant that she needed to have continuous support. My family are so pleased that she was able to go into Knellwood. The staff were so welcoming it is such a relief to know that she is being well looked after and is safe. In particular the quality and range of the activities offered to residents are superb and keep my mum interested and engaged. The food and the building and grounds are very good indeed. It is however the the staff and management who make the place and they deserve a big thank you.
I have been volunteering for almost a year. Looking for a volunteer placement I chose Knellwood due to the kindness extended to me by the manager on an unrelated matter. I felt such a kind and compassionate man must run a compassionate and caring establishment. As a retired nurse, who was also an RCN representative, I had visited many care homes in the past as a result of staff problems. I have not been disappointed in my choice. I have been surprised and delighted by every aspect of Knellwood. From the range of resident activities, the care I see as I go about the home, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and general atmosphere to the support of volunteers, like me, has all been second to none. As a coopted Trust Board member and a member of the Care Quality sub committee I also have the opportunity to look closely at the care and have an excellent relationship with the senior staff to discuss any issues and ideas who are very open and forthcoming. A great home.
A care home in the real sense of the word. Residents are treated as individuals with dignity and respect. Nothing is too much trouble, and there is always someone to talk to about any queries or concerns. Good choice and amount of acivities on offer to stimulate the residents.
