The interaction between the staff and the residents is genuinely caring. They make sure that the people in their care are thoughtfully looked after and every effort is made to maintain their connections to the world outside and past lives as memories and physical strength diminish. Pamper days; quizzes; visits to church, the pantomime and the botanical garden; singalongs; visits by baby groups, primary school children, therapy animals, dancers and gymnasts; all ensure the residents maintain links with their local community - and it with them. This is a happy home for our elderly loved ones.

My wife and I visited this care home on the 10th of January 2025 to see our aunt on her 103rd birthday. We found the overall experience excellent and the staff were most obliging. It is very reassuring to know our aunt is in such capable hands. I have only rated things pertaining to our visit.

I cannot say how impressed we have been with Ardnahein Care since the day Mum arrived. The staff are amazing and their level of care, kindness and support to Mum is exceptional! In my opinion, I would say that Ardnahein Care is more a home from home for Mum and we as a family feel very grateful to the staff for all their kind care and support!

My uncle has been a resident since June 2024 as he was no longer able to cope with stairs due to lack of mobility. He was initially concerned how he would adapt and cope after living on his own for 13 years. He has settled in quickly, knows all the staff by their first name, has gained weight and is much more positive in his outlook. As someone who has never participated in family games at Christmas, he is participating in all the wonderful activities that two particular members of staff dream up and is always the first to volunteer for any new experience. I knew from previous experience 2015 - 2020 how good the home was but the whole experience is even better than it was five years ago. My uncle is happy, we are happy and so are all his many visitors and social media followers.

Staff work hard and take pride in their work and do their best to make the home welcoming and homely. A safe environment, clean and hygienic. There are lots of activities and events for residents to join in with. All staff treat residents with great respect.

Since my mother was taken into care here, her life has taken a turn for the better. The staff have made her feel welcome and have got to know her well. Family have also been made to feel very welcome and the open visitor policy makes it easier to visit Mum.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. As a family member, I was told to feel at home as it was my aunt's home. I love seeing the activities offered.

Went to visit my Auntie and was so happy to see her so relaxed and settled. The staff do an amazing job making sure she is happy and comfortable.

I was in seeing a friend and have to say the difference in the care home is unbelievable. In all areas of the home, I can say it is excellent in every way.

My mother became a resident in Ardnahein in August 2024. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much and they encourage all residents to join in the many and varied activities. The food is second to none with plenty of choice. My mother has settled very quickly and is happier than I have seen her for a long time.

The care my aunt has received from the wonderful staff at Ardnahein has been exemplary. They have looked after her with great kindness and with humour and treated her like a real individual. I have felt confident that my aunt was in very good, safe, and tender hands. Thank you to all the staff.

Overall great facility well run with lots of activities for residents. Outside gardens provide pleasant space for relaxation and involvement in garden tasks.

Ardnahein Care rightly deserves its recent rating as being in Scotland's top twenty homes. Staff need to be particularly commended for their caring attitude - on camera and off.

Home from home. The staff are just lovely with my wife, the setting is very homely and the food is outstanding. There are multiple and varied daily activities that include all the residents. We are very happy with all aspects of the home and care being received. Was invited down for Christmas dinner, which was a nice inclusive touch.

The staff at Ardnahein Care are very caring and compassionate, they always make residents and visitors very welcome. The residents have a whole range of activities, so something to suit everyone. The food is extremely good and well presented and there is always something available. I'm so glad my mum ended up here. She felt at home, loved the staff and was very happy. It's a wonderful place.
