View Full Details of St Faith's Nursing HomeTotally amazing team you have, so caring. They are all a credit to St Faith's Nursing Home.
As soon as you walk in it feels like home, it's clean, warm, and welcoming. All the staff we interacted with were courteous and knowledgeable. And everyone there we saw was well presented, heads up and smiling. There's no lingering smell of food or urine (believe me, in other places, it's the first thing that hits your senses). The PA was amazing, professional, and knowledgeable, with no questions to daft or simplistic to answer. We know we have chosen the right place.
After a long stay in the hospital, our mum was admitted to St Faiths, Malvern Rd, on “end of life”. From the first moment of arrival, Mum was made to feel incredibly, welcome, safe and comfortable. As a family, we were so very impressed with the super efficiency of the day-to-day care that was provided. Not only did they welcome Mum, but also the kindness overflowed to our family. We are grateful that Mum left this world with the excellent care that St Faiths provided; Mum was the most beautiful lady, in every way, and we are so glad she received the kindness and care that she deserved. Thank you.
I'm always so impressed by the staff every time I visit. They are friendly and welcoming and kind and competent. It reassures me that they are kind and careful in their care of my stepmother too. Please thank them for their kind attention and everything they do.
The care is exceptional. Mum is treated with kindness, respect and patience. All staff: nurses, carers, cleaners - are experienced experts in their field, and every interaction is caring and courteous. We could not have wished for a better environment for Mum. Her room is fabulous, and we've been able to make it feel like home. They welcome us as a family, whether it's a flying visit or we stay with Mum for a few nights. Oh, and Mum loves the food! Thank you, St Faith's, for being awesome.
Both my mother and father were residents at St Faith's. My father was there for six weeks until he passed away in November. My father's care was exceptional, and he always told me how well looked after he was. He reported that carers were kind and interested, engaging fully with my mother when they fed her. He also told me how kind the carers were to my mother, who has vascular dementia. Even up until the final hours of my father's life, the confident and kind carers engaged with him sensitively, showing real consideration and concern. My mother continues to be exceptionally well cared for. Her needs have changed, and she is unable to communicate her feelings, but the carers are so gentle and monitor her well-being, adapting to her new needs. They are also watching her for any pain that she might experience as a result of her health needs. It is a relief to know that my mother is in safe hands. I can only recommend and praise the nurses, carers and manager at St Faith's.
My mother was a resident of St Faith’s Fairhaven suite for 6 weeks. I cannot recommend this place enough. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They looked after Mum beautifully and us too. The Fairhaven suite is designed for end-of-life care and is quiet and calming. Mum died there on the 11th of August and we couldn’t have asked for better care during her last weeks. All the staff are professional, caring, kind and respectful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My wife (resident) and I would like to record our thanks for the Barbecue hosted at St Faith's on 25 August. It was very well attended and must have taken a lot of effort from the staff to plan and organise the event. The food was very tasty, the music was lively, and even the threatened rain stayed away! Thanks again to all those involved.
A massive thank you to everyone at St Faith's for the care, attention, love and support during our mum's care and end of life. The initial environment and care during Mum's arrival and early stay was a great relief following her previous stay at the hospital - not a criticism of the hospital, but the environment and continuity of care at St Faith's were very welcoming and comforting. As a large family, we cannot thank everyone enough for the care, welcoming, flexibility and support provided to both Mum and four of us daughters and one of her sons as well as partners and grandchildren! The opportunity to be so welcomed and looked after, and ultimately, the opportunity to be there all together with Mum, is such an incredible comfort. Thank you again for the amazing opportunity you gave us and the incredible personal and respectful care you gave our mum. An incredible gift and comfort for both Mum and the family.
This is the first time I have ever written a review. My mum was in St Faith's for a couple of months for palliative care; she died this morning. Both myself and my two brothers were blown away by the amazing standard of care that she received. The nurses and caters were simply incredible and so very very kind. Thank you.
St Faith's seemed a good place for my elderly mum's last days; the staff were friendly and nice and mum was clearly comfy and cared for. The place was always so clean and tidy. From the day of admittance to the day of her death 12 days later no one from St Faith's ever contacted me about the care package. Despite several requests, I could never get an answer to any of the many questions I had. The staff did not seem to understand that for relatives, this is probably the first time they have ever had this experience and they do not have a clue what to expect. Even when my mum died I received no phone call afterwards, not even a condolence card. We raised £500 at the funeral for Lilian Faithful and we never even got an acknowledgement let alone a thank you. I fed all this back to the CEO by email and was promised a reply within a week but had to chase a reply over a month later. Then I got a second-hand reply from the CEO's secretary with some flimsy excuse and still no condolence or thank you.
My mother has been at St Faith's since December 2021 and has been given excellent care. The reception staff often go the extra mile. and all the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Communication is very good, and concerns are listened to without judgement. There are often activities that Mum can participate in; however, they could be more varied. Mum is very happy at St Faith's. Thank you for being there for her.
My husband has been at St Faith's since April 2021. His care is very intensive because he cannot stand or walk and need to be hoisted by two carers. The standard in the home is exceptional. We are very grateful for the wonderful care that is given at all times!
My husband was only at St Faith's for a few weeks, where he eventually received end-of-life care. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care given to him. He was treated with compassion and dignity by all the staff. My special thanks must go to his assigned care worker and also the doctor in his final hours. This was a very distressing time for myself and my family, but we were kept fully informed, and nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't have asked for more.
My father was at St Faith's Nursing Home for five weeks following a long stay in the hospital. I am so thankful that the last few weeks of his life were spent in such a warm and caring environment. Dad had a main caregiver and also other medical staff looking after him. He was treated with so much patience and kindness by everyone involved in his care. Whenever we visited, we were always updated on his health and well-being, and we could tell how much they thought of my Dad. Sadly Dad had to receive end-of-life care at the home, and subsequently died. When the time came, the nurse and other staff were very professional and showed Dad a huge amount of empathy. They also supported us as a family, allowing us to grieve in privacy whilst still making sure we were ok. I cannot praise St Faith's enough for the incredible way in which they looked after my father, and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. I would like to thank the manager and staff for everything they did.
From the moment my dad arrived at St Faith's, he was treated with respect and dignity. His care has been second to none, and it is clear that all the staff really do work so hard in often very testing situations. In the hours before he passed away, the nurses and carers were so understanding of how we felt and went out of their way to do what they could to make it less painful for us. Special mentions must go to two particular ladies. Thank you, and we would not hesitate to recommend St Faiths to anybody.
St Faith's is an outstanding nursing home. As a family, we are so thankful for the excellent care Mum received whilst a resident at St Faith's. All the staff we came into contact with were caring and compassionate; nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very responsive to Mums complex needs. The staff went the extra mile to help Mum make friends and feel secure as part of their community. The lovely, homely, inclusive atmosphere really gave Mum a great quality of life. The activity team provided stimulating fun activities, which Mum loved. The beautiful garden was an oasis for Mum and residents in the summer months. Mums team of carers were amazing; Mum was always beautifully presented, happy and relaxed in their company. The maintenance team and housekeeping team helped keep Mums lovely bedroom clean and well looked after. The catering team provided excellent meals, which Mum loved. The nursing team provided excellent medical and compassionate end of life care.
My mother has been a resident for 8-months. I have been impressed with the informative communication from the initial contact with St Faith's. Covid does present extra challenges, but my mother settled well, and the staff always kept me updated and facilitated phone calls. It has been lovely to start to visit in person, and have had fantastic visits in the garden. All the staff I have met have been so friendly, obviously know my mother well, and nothing seems too much trouble. It is lovely to see my mother so well cared for.
Dad fell and broke his hip in December 2019 and was discharged from the hospital to St Faith's Nursing Home. It wasn't long before lockdown hit, but in that short time, we could see how quickly Dad was settling in and enjoying the attention! All of the staff is incredible. They have kept us up to date with all the many amazing activities that Dad gets involved in, and we worked together during lockdown by arranging Christmas letters to the residents from my children's school! I felt so honoured to play a part in it. St Faith's arranged a beautiful meeting where my children handed over the letters safely and waved to Dad and other residents. I'm extremely thankful to Lilian Faithfull for being so efficient and staying ahead by closing their homes long before the virus was announced. We feel so fortunate to have Dad in such a safe place. Thank you to everyone at St Faith's!
I have always noticed excellent care and attention given to my dear wife during the last five years. All staff show their dedication to service, and I cannot thank them enough.
