View Full Details of The Grove Care HomeCannot thank everyone enough, my Mum was very unwell when she first arrived on a two-week respite and is now doing very well and has gained weight and looks great. Everyone is fantastic not only with my Mum but also with my Dad who visits every day. Staff always have a cheerful greeting and inform you of any issues my Mum has had in the day and are on top of all her needs. My mum is now a full-time resident, everyone has always got time to talk to her and always have a smile even when she has an off day.
On my arrival, I was in a very poor condition, extremely weak and frail. With care and compassion, the staff and the team at The Grove nursed me back to health. I feel renewed with a new sense of purpose! My transformation has been incredible! I feel at home here, making friends, feeling happy and safe and counting the staff as family.
My mum was going into a care home I visited more than I care to remember. I turned up at The Grove, stressed, and tearful myself, they warmly welcomed me and actually wrapped their arms around me. They went over and above to secure a place for Mum, she was so ill when she was discharged. The Grove sprung into action, settled Mum in, doctors attended which they arranged, her medication was amended. She is improving, she is safe, she is happy, and she is looked after with so much care. I can finally breathe. All the staff are amazing.
A very welcoming place which has a friendly and caring approach. My husband was in for respite, which was a welcome experience for both of us. The staff were caring and really helped him settle in. I certainly would use The Grove again for him to have respite; it is a happy place, and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you.
Our grandad has been in The Grove Care Home for the past few months. He has spent a great amount of time living alone. However, due to declining health, he was unable to remain living independently. He initially struggled to settle, but with the constant support and care of the staff, he is now starting to engage in the activities offered in the home and feels more settled. Staff are always attentive to him and happy to discuss any issues or concerns we may have.
During the time our dad was in the care home the carers made him feel welcome and comfortable so much so his health improved he was able to return to his own home several months later. On the day he left all the staff were visibly upset which showed they cared. We would like to thank everyone for there care and attention not only to our dad, but to us too.
Although it is sad that I am unable to care for my wife anymore due to my age (90) and her health needs I feel she is in the next best place. I know the staff care for her and keep her safe and occupied and she is treated well and loved. I am able to rest easy knowing that my wife is being treated with both respect and dignity. I also appreciate how welcomed I feel when I visit daily.
The staff are all very friendly and cheerful, nothing is too much trouble! They always have time for friendly words with residents and reassuring words with relatives. My father works " I couldn't wish for a better place to live"
Outstanding care they go above and beyond for all residents including my grandad. The level of care is outstanding very clean the staff are friendly and treat residents with utmost care and respect. Meal times and meals are very good. I myself when visiting am made to feel very welcome.
My nanan has been at The Grove for 4 months after issues at the previous home she had respite in due to poor mobility. She lived alone for the last 10 years and was adamant she didn’t want to go in any home. Now she is a permanent resident at The Grove of her own choice as she didn’t want to go back home which speaks for itself. The staff deliver excellent care and treat my nanan as if they’re her family and is treated with dignity and respect at all times. She also struggles with her sight but staff make any reasonable adjustments to ensure she can partake in activities to join in with other residents. I wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else.
Mom has been at The Grove Care Home for five months. She is very happy and settled there as she suffers from Alzheimer's/dementia and can get very confused but all staff are very friendly/understanding and help to reassure her. She loves the staff and feels safe at The Grove, she keeps telling me how she enjoys the meals. Nothing is too much trouble when she asks for anything. Can't thank the staff enough.
We have had a good experience with The Grove Care Home. All the staff are caring, friendly and welcoming. The food is good. The rooms are kept clean and fresh. It's a nice home.
My mum has been in the care home for eleven years and the staff all go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble. Lovely warm feeling, amazing food and activities and Mum is happy which makes me happy. Rooms are always clean and tidy.
Beautiful home, extremely warm and welcoming. Very attentive and friendly staff. Everyone (from cooks, handyperson to person in charge) goes out of their way to welcome visitors and it is obvious the residents are very well cared for. I am so happy to have found somewhere so safe and perfect for my mum.
My nan moved into the home last year after living independently with dementia for a few years. She finally became too frail and confused to live alone. The staff work hard to provide her with everything she needs, talk to her with respect and understanding. It's such a huge relief that Nans is now settled in The Grove Care Home.
I can’t compliment the staff at The Grove Care Home enough in the way they look after my dad. He’s been there nearly two years now and it’s now his new home. When he first was admitted his health was deteriorating and we had grave concerns for his well-being. Thanks to the support and care he received he is now better than we ever thought he would be. The staff treat him with respect and dignity and really do go the extra mile to make sure he feels at home. Thank you to all the staff for looking after him.
Thank you to all the staff for the care given to our late father, although he had only been a resident there for a short while, he settled in well, and truly enjoyed the company of the other residents and the staff. The staff were always on hand to help him in any way, The Grove Care Home made our father's last few weeks of his life happy, many thanks to you all.
I would like to thank one particular member of staff at The Grove Care Home as I think she goes the extra mile in care of my mum and other residents. No matter how much her work load is she still offers 110% well done keep up the execpenal work.
A very good care home. Really happy with how they look after and help my grandparents. Myself and my mum come often and see the staff in action. The food is really good, and my grandparents love the food that is served.
My mum has lived at the grove care home for four years. Nothing is too much for the staff, always on hand to answer any questions - warm and friendly, absolutely fantastic care. My mum would not be here today if it wasn't for the wonderful staff who care for her on a daily basis. I would recommend The Grove Care Home to anyone.
