View Full Details of Pax Hill Care HomeThe care our brother received is beyond compare. All staff (nursing, healthcare, housekeeping and administrative/management) showed great compassion, humanity and kindness. They are the epitome of what staff in care settings should be like. Their approach was not only person-centred towards our brother. but they extended that to us, his relatives, partner and friends. They are a credit to Pax Hill.
Pax Hill is the best a care home you could ever wish for. My father was looked after in the Windsor Wing for 16 months. He was attended to day and night and cared for with neverending kindness and patience. My father's condition improved as he stayed at Pax Hill, having been very ill in hospital before he arrived. The staff cared for his physical needs as well as providing entertainment and companionship. We are very grateful that such a difficult time in Dad's life - and ours - was made as good as possible.
I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave my aunt for the two and a half weeks she was with you for respite care. She has recovered so well and is now living happily at home. She particularly appreciated the dignity with which she was treated and the outstanding food.
I was quickly absorbed into the community here, so friendly and always there when needed. My room is beautifully positioned and I can watch the birds and after activities I always look forward to a meal. Such good, delicious food and well presented.
Thank you very much for the wonderful care for our father received in his last two years we witnessed the many times staff stepping in, to make him more comfortable, cared for every level, including nursing care physical care, stretch class care and spiritual care. You are all a very special bunch with wonderful varied gifts with much gratitude.
We have felt welcomed by all the staff and management team since our very first visit to Pax Hill. Mum is extremely well looked after on Montgomery floor and the staff are just lovely with her. The whole environment is clean, warm and calm. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and anytime we want to chat about something, they are available. We highly recommend Pax Hill.
My mother had a 4-week respite stay whilst we went abroad from December 2024 to January 2025. She is 94 and had never been in a care home before so were naturally concerned as to how she would cope. The staff were reassuring at the outset and gave detailed updates when we called whilst we were away. They accommodated all my mother's needs and foibles without issue. We collected my mother 2 days ago and she spent the whole journey home chatting about how lovely and kind the staff were and how nice the food was. She also said she would be happy to go to Paxhill again when we next go away. I think that says it all really, as she was not keen on going initially! We felt very confident and reassured leaving my mother and were very impressed with the staff, the home, the care and the ethos of Paxhill. We would definitely recommend the home to anyone looking for respite or permanent care for an elderly relative.
Pax Hill Care Home is a well managed home with devoted and hard working staff who are committed to the well being of its residents. It is set in beautiful Hampshire grounds which are very well maintained. Varied and interesting activities are provided and the is a community atmosphere.
My Father has been a resident now for nearly 2 years. He is extremely well looked after by the staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. The nursing team and visiting doctor, in particular, are great and always available for a chat to discuss his needs. The activities lady is also great and makes sure he takes part in the daily exercise classes to keep both his physical and mental capacity going. All the staff seem to take pride in their work and make it a great place. The place is very clean and well maintained too. I highly recommend Pax Hill.
We would like to thank a particular staff member and his staff for their kindness when my mother first arrived at Pax Hill. Followed by her move to Windsor ward where another staff member and her team looked after her until his final moment, with great care and kindness.
Happy with the food, staff, garden, activity.
Pax Hill is a very well-managed Care Home. This was especially evident during the time of Covid when we, the residents, felt very safe. Generally, too the standard of caring is very good indeed. The carers are well-trained and very helpful in every way. Nothing is too much trouble for them at any time of day or night. We have a very good director of activities who provides a wide range of creative opportunities according to the many various capacities of residents. Again, nothing is too much trouble. Local visits to places of interest are also arranged. The whole house is kept very clean and the housekeeping staff take pride in their work. The food is good and residents' suggestions are always considered. We all very much enjoy the wildlife in the grounds, which again are very well kept. I have no hesitation in recommending Pax Hill from every standpoint.
My grandma was moved to Windsor in Pax Hill from care-at-home in Kent for end-of-life care nearer to family. She was treated with dignity. kindness and respect at all times and were always kept warm, clean, comfortable, and attended to. We knew it would only be for a short time (it ended up being just 4 weeks) but the professionalism and level of care provided by all the staff reassured us that it had been the right decision to move her and it was such a relief to know even in the times we couldn't visit there would be a caring hand and friendly face to help her. From the nurses and care support team to the admin office and reception staff, everyone puts in so much effort to make the residents, and their families feel welcome & supported.
Pax Hill is an excellent care home with modern buildings and set in beautiful grounds. The facilities are good, everywhere is very clean and there is an excellent range of activities. My husband was looked after with care and compassion and always treated with dignity during the last four months of his life. His end-of-life care was excellent. The staff are all delightful not only caring for him but also very caring of the relatives. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pax Hill to others.
My father was receiving palliative care for 2 weeks over the month of October. The staff gave exceptional nursing care, being particularly attentive to patient care and communicating with myself and my sister about what to expect and how to manage the treatments he was receiving. The team was very good at respecting my father's wishes and providing all the help he required. The carers were particularly kind and managed to be positive and cheerful in difficult circumstances. At Pax Hill, we will rate highly all of the factors that contribute to a good care environment, such as food, cleanliness, etc. But really what makes Pax Hill stand out as an outstanding care home is the personal and caring nature of the team, from the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, the whole team are there to support you in a very genuine and touching way.
From the moment I stepped inside the care home I was met by smiles, greetings, helpfulness and kindness. Visitors are never treated as outsiders, but are warmly welcomed at any time. I know that many of the staff went the extra mile to care for and support my friend, who couldn't have been happier. The surroundings, which are beautiful, seem so quiet, until you spot all the woodland wildlife and hear the birdsongs. I feel so glad we chose Pax Hill for my friend.
Pax Hill is a lovely home. The grounds and buildings are beautifully presented. Mum has been here for three months and quickly settled in with lots of help from the brilliant carers and nurses. Their unfailing friendliness and support has seen her go from strength to strength.
I enjoy the view from my room.
Very pleased with my stay here in the Balmoral Unit. The staff are always very kind and compassionate and nothing is too much trouble.
My mother has been at Pax Hill for 2 weeks and we cannot fault the welcome we received. The staff are friendly, helpful, kind and understanding. Mum is settling in well and we would thoroughly recommend the home. The rooms are nicely decorated and look out onto lovely countryside with squirrels and birds as constant visitors.
