View Full Details of The Fountains Care CentreThe staff at The Fountains were extremely kind and caring towards my dad - going the extra mile for sure! He was well looked after in every aspect eg provision of meals, medicines and personal care. All carried out very thoughtfully and with a smile! As my dad reached the end of his life he had constant company from the staff who also took the time to take the phone to him so we could speak to him. As a family we lived a long distance away but I absolutely felt I could entrust my dad to the care of the Fountains team.
My mum has been a resident for four years now and during that time, we have never had cause to complain. The staff are lovely and work extremely hard and the home is very clean. Mum looks well-kept and, although she is unable to communicate properly, always seems happy and content. We are forever grateful to The Fountains, thank you.
Every single member of staff made Mum's last few days as happy as they could be... you cannot put a price on that! From the bottom of my heart, a massive thank you to each and every one of you! Mum saw the place as her home and she was extremely happy and content being there (always had a massive smile on her face), that says it all really!
My wife has now been resident at The Fountains for eleven months, and I am very impressed with the care she is receiving. I visit my wife every other day, so I have witnessed on many occasions the warm, friendly family atmosphere that the staff create and maintain. My nephew and niece recently came down from Scotland to visit their Aunt - they both commented spontaneously on the lovely atmosphere at The Fountains, and the friendly, helpful personalities who greeted them. They both told me they were very happy their Aunt was being properly looked after by such lovely people. In truth the building could probably do with some redecoration, but it is the people inside the building that make it such a great place for my wife to be. The staff are sensitive to my wife's moods, as well as her needs, and try their utmost to help her through each day. They have a very commendable style of caring which has a light touch - focusing on sympathetic support and positive encouragement.
Mum was a member of The Fountains family for 8 years until she passed away and loved it. When we took mum out to get her nails done, or for dinner, or a cake, and she'd had enough she'd ask to go "home" - back to The Fountains. There can be no greater compliment than when a resident calls it home. Even when Mum was no longer able to clearly communicate, all of the staff would still involve her in her personal decision-making and activities which was important to us as well as Mum. We were all made to feel like we were part of The Fountains Family and, during the darkest of times, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were as well cared for as mum. Now mum's passed we miss our Fountains Family almost as much as we miss Mum. Thank you for everything and we're so pleased mum always said if she had to go into residential care she wanted it to be The Fountains.
My aunt feels comfortable and safe at the home. She is well looked after by the staff and they make sure I am aware of any problems with her care or health. She is a strong character and when I visit, I am always impressed by the good relationship the staff have with her.
What a fabulous team. Can not thank them enough for the care and patience they give my mum on a daily basis. Mum is on respite at the moment and is very well with the care. Would highly recommend. Their consideration for the individual and family members is superb. Thank you for being amazing
Mum has been well looked after being very poorly recently. the Staff have been marvelous and great communication throughout. I feel the home has a lot to contend with and gets no help from the NHS.
My mother is very happy in The Fountains. The building has a shabby exterior but this is more than compensated by the excellent caring staff. The staff worked hard to help my mother regain and retain her mobility. With their help her confidence has improved.
During June and July my mum had bad back pain and then became unwell with one or two different infections. The staff were brilliant with Mum, helping her cope with her back pain and contacting surgery straight away for antibiotics. The surgery let Mum down but not the staff at The Fountains.
Overall good, clean and tidy. The staff are great especially those around the running of the care home and the staff in the kitchen are great, they do a good job. I have been going to the care home for over a year now and I have seen some changes but the overall running of the care home is good. I have not had to complain about anything really, had some questions and they have always been seen to.
Mum was a resident at The Fountains from 2022 till earlier this month when she passed away. All at The Fountains looked after and cared for Mum and when she became bedbound used to pop in to see her and make her smile. It didn't matter what time I went I was always made welcome. Thank you to the manager and the team.
Happy with the care for my father at home, the staff is helpful and tries to give good care services. My father is happy with the food and the amount. Always tea and coffee available for him and for use who visit. When Father has had health problems staff have been on the ball to deal with it.
I have been at the Fountains Care Centre for the last three weeks for a four-week respite, I can't fault the Fountains. The food, the care and the cleanliness is of high standard everyone is always friendly and happy to help this would be my first choice if I had to come back for my permanent residence.
My mum recently moved into the Fountains Care Home and I honestly could not be happier. The staff from the lovely manager to the staff members who I now know by name and the cook are just such kind and caring people, the handyman is very helpful and always on hand. I could not be happier it has made what was from the offset a very difficult decision to make, the very best one for my mum. She is so settled and content. I have been able to turn her room into her room, surrounded by her special bits and pieces from her home to turn it into what mum calls a cosy place. So in conclusion, I am I would honestly say a very happy daughter with a very settled happy mum.
My husband was a resident at The Fountains Care Home for over five years and was looked after with care, patience and kindness. He enjoyed the activities very much especially visits from the village playgroup children. He also enjoyed games and visits from animals. In good weather, he liked to be in the courtyard garden and took great pleasure in feeding the birds.
My sister has been a resident for 4+ years. She seems happy and contented in the home and has had no complaints that I am aware of. If she had, I am certain she would let me know when I visit. The staff are always helpful and friendly and are very caring towards my sister.
I wish I had taken pictures of how bad this place was. As we waited over twenty minutes for a staff member to acknowledge my Dad being admitted for the first time in a care home. We counted the cobwebs and noted the broken handles on the dishevelled cabinet. When we eventually were let through to see where Dad would stay it got worse. The carpet was dirty, the window was tiny, signs of leaks on the ceiling, and the bed lining was worse than secondhand. In floods of tears, I walked Dad straight out of there. This place needs to be closed and a complete renovation.
My mother went in after a spell in hospital and needed palliative care. The staff are excellent, the home - wonderful. It made my mother's last few days with us very pleasant.
A happy welcoming visit. It was wonderful to see my mam on several visits smiling, laughing and joining in with the activities, from bowling to joining in a parachute game with local nursery children who attend regularly to see their friends. On one occasion we wanted to do an afternoon tea. This was no problem, with a nice sunny room looking out onto the garden, so we could relax, have tea, a game of scrabble - normal family activities. Brilliant!
