View Full Details of The Grange Nursing Home LtdThank you so much to everyone at The Grange who looked after our Mother for the last three months of her life. The care was exemplary, everyone was very kind and caring. The food was delicious, the laundry took great care of all clothing, the recreational team had a wide range of activities to meet all needs, reception and admin staff always gave a warm welcome caring for relatives as well as the resident. The nursing and care staff were always available and took time to explain everything. Everything was clean, tidy and working thanks to maintenance and housekeeping. Visiting was welcome any time, day or night. As a family we would thoroughly recommend The Grange and thankyou again x
During a ten-week stay in The Grange, my wife received, from all staff, an exemplary standard of care. In the course of a terminal illness pain relief was provided rapidly when required and painful procedures carried out with obvious expertise and kindness. No effort was spared to ensure that she was as comfortable as possible. My family and I were fully informed and consulted - and always offered tea/coffee during visits. We are grateful for the care she received from the wonderful staff.
Always find the staff first class. Always treated in a respectful but friendly manner. Residents appear well cared for and always seem well met. The catering staff are efficient and the food looks and tastes delicious. All staff are fabulous, caring, and considerate.
I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for the amazing care and support you give from the admin team, nursing staff, caregivers, kitchen staff and housekeeping staff. I am truly grateful and blessed for your kindness. Each and everyone one of you are so special and your kindness and support you give to me and my family is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
When I moved in I did not like it but day by day and a few months later I cannot fault it. Staff all great, nurses also good, food good, kitchen staff good. You could not put a better team together, they are all excellent. No matter what is asked they are all willing and able to help even desk staff, kitchen and front of house. Everyone is so helpful.
I am very pleased with the staff and the friendly atmosphere. It's very homely!
Mum was admitted to The Grange in February 2024. Having promised that we would keep her in her own home for as long as it was safe to do so (it no longer was), the decision for her to enter residential care was very hard, despite being based on the recommendation of clinical and social care professionals. Since my first visit to look around, I have consistently felt that The Grange is a lovely place and have been so glad we managed to get Mum in here. The staff are always helpful, friendly and cheerful. They treat the residents kindly, patiently and with dignity and respect their wishes where possible. They also keep the family informed as needed. Although not without initial difficulties, Mum settled more quickly than we expected and now generally seems content. Whilst residential care is not something we wished for Mum, we are satisfied that she is now very well cared for in a lovely environment, where we can spend quality time with her whenever we choose.
I have always had a preconceived idea about nursing homes in general. I have visited quite a number of homes. When my cousin and her mother were admitted to The Grange I was met with such friendliness and care. Putting loved ones into a home is very traumatic for them and for you! The level of care that is given to ease your guilt has to be of the highest degree. I visit at various times without warning and can say that the caring is of the best standard. Young and older carers at The Grange have some of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I take time to listen and observe their actions whilst they attend to the vulnerable. All I can say is that strict training and tolerance have to be given to get the level of care and consideration shown to everyone living and visiting The Grange. The staff and residents are becoming my friends who can be trusted.
When you ask your loved one out of 10 what would you give this care home and their reply is '10/10' That says it all really. If they are happy then so I am! This home delivers an exceptional level of care.
This is a wonderful nursing home. It is kept spotlessly clean and the care that my sister gets is perfect. The carers are really good and nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely and my sister is in a lovely place. My sister has been here nearly 2 years and is very happy. They all work very hard to make it the best and in my opinion deserves an award.
My father moved to The Grange in October 2022. Since that time he was well cared for, enjoyed the activities, loved the food (especially the mince pies at Xmas) and enjoyed the friendly and homely environment that all the staff provided. I always felt my dad was well cared for and nursed and took a weight off my shoulders from the moment he entered The Grange. I cannot praise highly enough the staff that work there. He enjoyed the numerous activities that the home put on and I was able to enjoy them with him. In February 2024, my father sadly entered the palliative care stage. Again, I cannot praise highly enough the care and compassion, not only shown to my dad, but to me as well. The staff have been truly amazing. If you are in the situation where you need to find a placement in a nursing home, then I can, without hesitation, highly recommend The Grange. Can I just say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff involved in my dad’s care.
Having had both my mum and brother spend two years at The Grange Nursing Home a few years ago and now my auntie (all with extremely high complex medical needs). I just wanted to reiterate how incredible every member of staff is at The Grange. They go above and beyond, ensuring that nothing is too much! They are such a great team. We all take great comfort in knowing that our very special auntie is comfortable, settled and cared for in the highest way possible, as we all know, life can be so daunting and uncertain! Words aren’t enough to say how grateful everyone is! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Our mum was admitted to The Grange at the end of December 2023, suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. She has complex medical and care needs which change on a weekly, if not daily basis. The transition from one nursing facility to another was made seamless. From then on in, the staff have been outstanding. From managerial to office, carers to nurses, cleaners to caterers, without exception, have been kind, empathetic and totally professional. Cleaniliness, compassion and friendliness are at the fore for all residents. We highly recommend The Grange for your loved one, feeling reassured that they will be in good hands.
My mum arrived at The Grange in August 2023. She was in a bad way mentally and physically. Her new life is a delight for her and the family. The care is exemplary and the entertainment makes her day. Socialising has made a vast difference to her mental state. After all her suffering I finally have my old mum back thanks to all the love and care (and hugs) from the wonderful staff. I chose The Grange because I could feel that love in smiles and laughter from the outset. Such a happy place to be!
The whole team at The Grange are fantastic. They made my dad and the family so welcome and part of the big Grange family. Everybody is so helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They met my dad's needs and adjusted as his needs increased and provided excellent end-of-life care. I can't recommend them enough. They are amazing.
My sister arrived at The Grange in a very poor physical state and a very challenging mental state in September 2022. As a nurse myself I questioned whether the home would cope. However, what I have witnessed has been so very reassuring thus being so impressed by what I have seen. Despite all the difficulties my sister's care, her needs have not only been met but far exceeded any expectations. The Grange is a warm, welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this home to everyone I meet.
I have found everyone so kind, understanding, genuinely caring and always smiling. From the minute you go through the double doors, there is an atmosphere of calm, peace, happiness and love and that is very addictive and very relaxing. I call it the residents' second home, it's just wonderful. Wished I had known it very much earlier. It's the best from top to bottom, everyone has the patience of saints, it's just marvellous. Happy days. The Grange Nursing Home, wishing you all the very best for the future. You are the best I have seen. Thank you very much.
From the first day Mum arrived, she was treated with respect and dignity. All her care needs were attended to during her five and a half years as a resident. From the first visit, as a family, we became part of her new family. The reception staff, management and nursing staff through to the cleaning and gardening staff are all excellent. The activities team provided an exceptional range of daily activities.
My mother was a resident in the home for nearly five years. The care she received was excellent, in fact, it is difficult to see how it could be improved. The owner works tirelessly with her large team from admin through to nursing, carers to laundry, cleaning and entertainment. Mum very much enjoyed the quality of the food which is cooked on the premises and caters for individual needs. On nearly every visit, Mum said how well everyone looked after her and thanked them continuously.
Good food. Bright and sunny service. Respond to the bell. Comfortable.
