View Full Details of Waterloo Care HomeMy mum has been here a year now. She gets excellent care. The staff are all amazing, friendly, and helpful. Very approachable. Day trips out and lots of activities within. Mum is happy there and safe. We are always welcome when visiting and always kept in contact or updated on any issues.
I was visiting my sister when the activities lady was asking some of the residents if they wished to go on the annual harbour trip the following day. She would, in my opinion, benefit from joining such an event as in our childhood days our father had his own boat moored at Kinston upon Thames, plus at that time we had many holidays on the Norfolk Broads. As usual, she was very hesitant to agree but as I was there I encouraged her to go as I thought she would very much enjoy the outing. I was delighted to know that she did indeed go and really enjoyed the event. Well done to all the staff in their efforts to actually get her on the boat.
The redeeming feature of Waterloo Care Home is in its title! It is homely - a home-from-home for its residents. The food is good and the staff note the residents' preferences, likes and dislikes with the excellent kitchen staff striving to meet individual requirements. The staff are professional in their approach to their work but, above all, they are kind and caring and attentive. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for someone who needs to be cared for with love and devotion.
Staff are extremely caring - nothing is too much trouble for them to ensure Mum is happy and content. The manager and senior staff are always on hand to support me and mum. Mum's room is bright and comfortable and is kept clean - the cleaners are extremely hard working as well.
Good service provided by all, carers seem truly interested in the residents and their needs. Rooms could be a little less sticky but overall are clean I don't worry about Mom knowing she is in good hands.
My father was in Waterloo Care home for 18 months. He was very happy and loved living there. He was cared for with love, respect and dignity. His medical needs were always dealt with promptly and we were kept informed. He enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Tank museum and many parties and activities at the home. On Christmas day, Father Christmas popped in with thoughtful presents for everyone. My mother and I would like to thank everyone for everything they did for him right to the end of his life. Thank you.
Staff are attentive to and aware of my mother's needs. They take a personal interest in her and her preferences. Staff are always actively engaged and respond promptly to any queries. Good range of activities provided.
Waterloo Care Home has been great for Mum, she is looking and feeling so much better since she moved in 4 months ago. The food is good, the staff are really approachable and friendly and I feel confident that Mum is being looked after well.
When we arrived, there was entertainment, a singer, really good and involved all the residents.
I feel my uncle is well cared for, always seems happy. He says the food is lovely and the carers are always nice to him.
Dad gets excellent care from an established team of kind, well-trained carers. They know his needs and meet them with kindness and humour. The home-cooked food is great. Management communicate well with family. The activities team work hard to provide events and trips. Thank you for looking after him.
My mum has enjoyed all the entertainment in the past two months, she has come on so very much since she moved into Waterloo back in March. I can't thank them all enough for all their good work. Mum has even gone outside on two trips which is marvellous.
My mother has been at Waterloo Care Home for six months now, and although she has deteriorated mentally, all the staff are marvellous with her. It doesn't matter how small the problem is; I can always receive advice and help.
All the staff are caring, professional, kind and work really well as a team. This includes the carers, the office staff, the catering staff, the cleaners and the maintenance staff. I can't speak too highly of all of them. The activities are brilliant and really enhance the resident's experience.
A big thank you to the manager and her team for looking after my dad during his time at Waterloo Care Home which sadly came to an end on May 18th, everyone I met during the year seemed courteous and very dedicated while working under the terrible pressure of Covid. Any issues I had or felt Dad had were addressed by the manager very quickly, I can't name names but a big thank you to the activities coordinator who put together a book of photos for me showing the things Dad had got up to lovely memories to keep.
The manager and her team have been really helpful with help around my grandma's stay. Prompt responses and Nan is happy and content - she feels safe and looked after.
My mother is looked after very well and the staff are very kind and caring. Mum is happy and I am always welcomed when visiting. Thank you to all the staff for everything they do for Mum.
The care home has been very good at accommodating visitors during COVID.
My father seems to have most of his needs tended to. My big disappointment is that up until March 2020 (not sure if this issue has been rectified), in over 12 months of being at Waterloo Care Home the issue of his hearing had not been rectified. To explain; he was supposed to be having his ear wax resolved, or an audiologist see him. He was suffering anxiety due to deafness when I last visited him, which was early 2020.
The best care for my wife. Thanks.
