View Full Details of Littlewood Manor Care HomeI would just like to thank everyone for the care, respect and understanding they showed my mum whilst she was in the home. At first like for many of us, it was a difficult decision to place my mum in a home, but mum settled in well and spent the last four years giving the staff the runaround. She was a feisty and independent person and I know she gave many of the staff a clout for getting her out of bed in the morning. However, they always treated her with dignity and respect and she was much loved by them all. In her last days, many of the staff spent time coming and seeing how she was and saying their last goodbyes. Littlewood Manor have not only been there for our mum but also for us as a family and we can not thank them enough for everything they have done. Carry on with what you are doing, you are the best and from me and my family, we wish you all the very best for the future.
My mum moved in on a trial and didn't want to leave. She loved her room and made friends with some of the residents. The home has a fantastic atmosphere, and the whole team are so caring and respectful to the residents and treats them and visitors like family. The day my mum died, different members of the team called in to check how she was - members of staff called in on their days off. At the end, I was supported by two of the team, and they were a great help. I have written this to try and help others in the situation we found ourselves in and to say that although it is the toughest decision you will have to make, your loved one will be treated with care and dignity, and that is a massive help.
My mum has been a resident at Littlewood Manor (and Thistleton Lodge) for 2.1/2 years. The staff cared for her through lockdown and continue to impress my family every single day with their ongoing care. The staff not only provide their excellent care, with dignity but are always sensitive to her individual needs. My mum can be challenging at times but the staff always seem to calm her and are able to make her laugh. I would have no hesitation in recommending Littlewood Manor to anyone who is looking for a care home for themselves or a loved one.
I would like to thank all the staff at Thistleton Lodge for caring for my mum for the last seven months of her life. My mum was treated with love, care and respect, and nothing was too much trouble for the people that work there. I would thoroughly recommend Thistleton Lodge to anyone who is looking for a home for themselves or a loved one, and I would like to wish the staff every happiness and success in the future. Just carry on doing what you are doing, you do it so well.
My parents have been cared for at Thistleton since 2006 first with my father and since with my mother. I couldn't be happier with the care my father received and the care my mother continues to receive. The staff are always forthcoming and friendly and have saved my mothers life on more than one occasion with their prompt care and attention. I would recommend the home to anybody.
This care home has far succeeded my expectations. Everyone who works here is just unbelievably kind and caring and treat residents and visitors with great respect. All the employees and managers love my mother and show it in every way. It’s such a relief to know that my mother is being taken such good care of. I would highly recommend Thistleton Lodge Care Home for your loved one.
My grandparents moved into Thistleton Lodge Care Home in January. The staff from the managers to carers to the laundry are filled with compassion and love. I couldn't have picked a better place to have someone I love live. My grandfather passed away this July and they overwhelmed my self my mother and grandmother with love and respect. They made sure my grandfather was treated with dignity. To say they go above and beyond is putting it lightly. The staff have become family.
