We couldn't be more impressed with the care and support my father-in-law receives at Hartwell Lodge. The staff are exceptionally patient and kind, always going above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being. Their welcoming nature makes each visit a delight, and it's clear that nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The management team sets a high standard with their professional and understanding approach, always attentive to our concerns and questions. Our father-in-law is very happy here and we have peace of mind knowing he is in such capable hands. Thank you.

Our Dad attends day service at Hartwell, it offers a new normal for Dad with new friends and a great place to call on for a short holiday should Dad need. The staff are always so helpful and my Dad has settled so well.

Hartwell is certainly a home-from-home. The staff are wonderful and very caring and always respectful. There is always a lovely atmosphere in the home and nothing is too much trouble. The care is outstanding and the manager very professional and understanding. The other residents are always friendly and the range of activities seems to add to the joy in the home. He has settled in well and we are delighted that he is in such capable hands as looking after him at home had become impossible. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit too. We are all so grateful to everyone at Hartwell Lodge for the care you give him and for knowing that he is safe and well looked after. Thank you all so much.

Hartwell Lodge is an outstanding care home, and the staff and management are wonderful. My grandmother spent the last three months of her life there and they treated her with great care, dignity and respect. She had complicated medical conditions but they were always able to support her as required right until the end of her life. There is always a nice atmosphere, with fun and creative activities for residents and relatives alike. We were always offered a warm welcome and cup of tea from the staff whenever we visited, and there are plenty of spaces so we could either get involved in activities or spend some quality time alone. Hartwell Lodge was always immaculately clean and tidy throughout. We always felt like our grandmother was in safe hands and it was such a relief to find Hartwell Lodge. A big thank you to the whole team for your kindness and dedication.

Extremely happy to have my Grandma close and be able to visit her as often as I possibly can. All the staff we have met have been very friendly and welcoming.

We chose Hartwell because of its homely atmosphere. Although Auntie has only been in respite a few weeks and still settling in, all the staff, without exception, have been friendly, kind, caring, polite, and patient. The food looks delicious and Auntie enjoys her meals. The range of activities is both stimulating and fun. We are grateful to the Hartwell Team for their help at this time. Thank you.

Everyone is always welcoming when we arrive and the other residents say hello. It's lovely to have our family member close by and be able to see her often. She seems very happy and settled into her new home which is amazing to see.

Wonderful, caring, clean home most creative and engaging, felt like a real family home. Food good and care is incredible. The staff go out of their way to help and all residents seem happy and involved in daily activities all their needs are met with care, compassion and dignity.

We were so pleased that we managed to get Mum into Hartwell Lodge as we had to move her down here from Scotland it was such a sad time as our dad passed away and he was her carer, most of the family lived down and around Fareham and mum and dad did before they moved to Scotland 20 years ago and she is very happy here and has found new friends to chat with, all the staff are very friendly and helpful and caring towards her and we can see a difference in her health since she's been here as well, all the staff take good care of her and they've always got activities for them to join in with if they want to.

When I was looking for a care home for my mother and first visited Hartwell lodge I knew straight away that this was the home I wanted for Mum. It stood out as excellent and so much better than the other homes I had seen and the atmosphere at the home was so friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms and all the shared living facilities are beautifully decorated, clean and tidy. All the staff are so friendly and passionate about the job they do, nothing is too much trouble for them and they go out of their way to make sure every resident is well cared for.

Hartwell Lodge is like an extended family my mum has been there for almost five weeks. We had a very traumatic start to the year followed by several months of worry and stress with Mum being pushed from pillar to post and then we found Hartwell. The manager is amazing, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and so understanding. Immediately ‘taking charge’ and guiding us to get Mum to her happy place. The road was bumpy at first but has got smoother week by week and we can now relax and start to step back knowing that Mum is safe, cared for and happy. Thank you.

My godparents moved to Hartwell Lodge in March 2024. The manager and all her staff were very helpful to me and very kind to my godparents when they moved into the home. The room they have is lovely and they have made it very homely for them.

I couldn't ask for better care for my mum. They make everyone feel part of a big family. The care and compassion is second to none. The residents always have something to get involved in and friendly staff to chat to. I can't thank them enough for the help and support they give me too, as they totally understand how hard the decision is to put a loved one into someone else's care.

Absolutely fantastic since my father moved into the home. The staff bent over backwards to help and point us in the right direction. The entertainment lady has been so helpful. I cannot fault Hartwell in any way or form.

Mum was only at Hartwell for 12 days but all the staff could not have treated her any better if she had been with them for years. Her last days were made very comfortable and we were all treated with respect. Thank you.

Mum is very happy here. The care home staff have been very kind, and the manager was very helpful in getting Mum from hospital to safety with them. So much so that Mum is happier than she was at home and is considering staying long-term.

Hartwell Lodge Care Home is a fabulous and caring place for my father to reside in his twilight years. Staff are so attentive and extremely kind. I am so reassured his physical and mental health are in much better shape since he arrived.

Very professional and friendly staff. The food is excellent. Mum was underweight when she arrived at Hartwell Lodge Care Home, since then she’s gained weight and is now a healthy size. Very happy that Mum is getting the best care.

My dad has been at Hartwell Lodge Care Home since October 2021. He has Parkinson's and Parkinson's related dementia. I don't worry about his care here at all, he is well looked after and as happy as he can be. The staff are amazing and the range of activities they put on is fantastic. The manager and her team love their work and it shows in the care they provide.

All the carers are very pleasant, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile for my Dad's needs. Always checking to see if he’s okay and asking him if he wants or needs anything. Can’t fault a thing!

My godparents moved to Hartwell Lodge in March 2024. The manager and all her staff were very helpful to me and very kind to my godparents when they moved into the home. The room they have is lovely and they have made it very homely for them.
