The care at Meadow House is first class, all staff go above and beyond, my husband is so well cared for, always looks well kept, and is always happy, the staff are always so friendly and make you feel welcome, when I'm there everyone is like one big happy family. The activities there are excellent and there are always things going on for everyone to enjoy, All staff from all departments are so caring and do a wonderful job, I can't praise them all enough.
Amazing staff, friendly, kind and reassuring. The home is very clean, cosy all the time, and the food for residents and visitors is absolutely amazing.
Meadow House is the most wonderful care home. The staff from the management all the way through the team are the nicest people ever. Everyone genuinely cares not only about the residents but their whole family. I always feel welcome by all. They treat my dad with kindness, empathy and dignity. Even on his bad days, their attitude does not change in fact they give home more love and care if that's possible. After Dad was in hospital since July the night he came to Meadow House and since then we have slept knowing he is safe and cared for which is a massive weight of our minds.
My wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis around 18 years ago and unfortunately, it has been very aggressive and after our family and I cared for her throughout this time it became necessary for her to go into full-time residential care at Meadow House earlier this year. It was a very traumatic time for my wife, myself and our family. My wife has now settled at Meadow House and is happy and this is down to the love, care and respect given by all of the staff, including kitchen, cleaning, caring, nursing, maintenance and management. My family and I have the greatest respect for you all and can only thank you for making this transition as best as it could possibly be. Thankyou. NG (Husband of resident).
My sister and our mother were very close, I have visited my sister at Meadow House for many years. I feel sure my mother would approve of my findings.
I am the brother-in-law of a long-term resident of Meadow House. I try to visit with my wife as much as I can and when I do I am always heart-warmed by the care, the atmosphere and the warmth shown to my sister-in-law. My last visit coincided with the annual summer fete - the effort and time it takes to pull an event like this off is huge! People still give so freely their time when they must be worn out from either running the home, running events or giving care. My wife and in-laws visit weekly, and we all feel that this wonderful place and the staff and residents are an extension of our family.
We were invited to our friend's 60th birthday party. The home put a lovely afternoon on for her. She had a singer, a photographer and a delicious buffet. The staff went out of their way to make sure she enjoyed herself and also her guests were looked after. The home is very clean and inviting, we sat with a few other residents whilst we waited for our friend. The staff had put a music channel on for them and they were all singing along. Many thanks for a great afternoon and for making us feel welcome.
I visited our dear friend on her 60th birthday. What a fabulous event! Wonderful singer, buffet and photographer. But what stood out to me was the genuine care that the staff gave to make this an amazing birthday for my friend. Assisting her up to dance, watching her closely in case she needed help with anything at any time. I left with a very warm feeling that the people who care at this home are genuine. Amazing staff! Well done and thank you all.
Well, what can I say about these remarkable people? Their total dedication to the people they look after is outstanding, each person in their care are treated as individuals and their care needs met always. Their manager is remarkable and goes up and beyond with her team to make the people they care for feel special and loved. My sister had a truly wonderful 60th birthday party in March, it was just so lovely and memories were made. I can’t thank you enough.
Very friendly and inviting place to visit, happy residents, always something going on, and approachable staff.
My daughter has been there since 1997 in that time she has been looked after with all the love and care they can give fiscally and mentally, she is not an easy patient but they never fail to do right by her, keeping myself and my son well informed about all situations she couldn't be in a better place. She is well-fed and kept clean and as happy as she can be.

I visited Meadow House care home today in Swaffham and what a lovely, homely, happy care home. There was such a lovely cheery vibe in there. The staff were friendly and the home was beautifully clean and well equipped. One staff member in particular was very informative, passionate and friendly! A great experience.
Meadow House Nursing Home has supported me so much. I now spend time with others and join in with all activities.
You are brilliant.
I have always found Meadow House Nursing Home excellent in all areas of the home home, nothing is too much trouble for you. They always support you in your wishes. Especially music, live or karaoke, they're great. The exercises in the activity centre are good, cycling, boxing, weights, using the tablet and 10 pin bowling). I loved cooking on a Tuesday morning for us to eat at lunchtime. I like quizzes.
My husband has recieved exemplary care for the many years that he has been a resident at Meadow House Nursing Home. He is treated with kindness and dignity and although he is unable to take a active par in many of the activities now he is always encouraged to take an interest in the going on at Meadow House Nursing Home.
My time at Meadow House has been a wonderful journey. 12 years ago, I arrived at Meadow House knowing no one, extremely depressed and immobile. In fact there was a feeling that my massive chair wouldn't get through the door way. Now 12 years on, I no longer am consigned to a wheelchair, have lost half my bodyweight, 34 stone to 17 stone, I use a stick and no frame. I have bought a scooter for going to town, I am now nearly complete with a sponsored walk for McMillan nurses. Meadow House is my home and I love it.
