View Full Details of Park House Nursing HomeMy 98 year old mum went to Park House for end of life care. She arrived on Thursday 13 February from hospital. I visited first on 14 February and saw she was in a lovely ground floor room that felt like home. She was never able to enjoy the garden view from her room but I could see she was peaceful, calm and comfortable, wearing her own nighties too, She was washed and fed by all the wonderful team and quietly passed on 24 February.
I am so pleased my daughter in law found park house. it is an amazing home, from management to nursing staff,to caring staff, kitchen staff, entertainment staff maintenance, laundry staff , GPs. they all played a big part in the care. nothing was too much trouble. i especially liked the first day as my friend(resident to be) was greeted to big beaming smiles and warm friendly greeting. this caring continued every day during his stay. the care was exceptional and towards the end, the management and nursing staff were very helpful and caring towards the family giving advice and support. the kitchen staff were also very kind towards us all. we deeply appreciate everything you all did and cant praise you all enough for being such loving caring people. Many thanks
A massive Thank You to The manager and all the staff. We as a family cannot thank Park House enough for the fabulous care and support they have provided for our father. The four years father was in Park house the staff were nothing short of incredible. We always felt complete peace of mind, knowing he was always always in their safe hands. Their dedication, patience, and genuine kindness gave me and our family will never be forgotten.
The care home provided excellent care for the three years that my mother lived there. The staff and management were very helpful and understanding. I would strongly recommend the home to anyone looking for dementia care.
My experience with the Park House, has been nothing but excellent, the service they have provided to myself and my Mother has been exceptional. From the care home Manager and all nursing staff. I was totally unsure at the beginning, of what to expect, with all the horror stories you here, but they have gone above and beyond for all our needs.
Exceptional Care and Compassion at Park House Nursing Home - A Heartfelt Thank You. I cannot thank Park House enough for the outstanding care and support they have provided for my dad. From the moment we first visited, it was evident that this was not just a care home, it was a true home filled with warmth, kindness, and compassion. The staff at Park House are nothing short of incredible. They go above and beyond every single day, ensuring that my dad receives not only the highest standard of medical and physical care but also the emotional support and companionship he needs. Their dedication, patience, and genuine kindness have given our family complete peace of mind, knowing he is in the best hands possible.
Since visiting my friend, I have been disappointed that he cannot get up and walk anymore. It is a shame because he looks so well. Since I have been coming to Park House, I meet different residents and talk to them.
My late grandfather spent his last months at Park House and it truly felt like home every day we visited. All of the staff were so caring, loving and attentive towards my grandfather. The staff understood my grandfather's complex needs and the care they showed him was always above and beyond. The manager got to know us all as a family, made us feel welcomed and responded quickly to questions. I can't thank the team enough!
Wonderful place with amazing staff. They made my dad's stay the best bit could be. Big shout out to two particular members of staff who looked after my dad so well. Cannot fault what they did for my dad caring for him. They really do care about the residents.
We are so delighted to have found Park House for Mum! What a warm, caring and friendly place! The manager leads an excellent team of staff who go above and beyond to care for the residents and to welcome and support family members too. The nursing staff and the local GP surgery ensure residents receive quick and effective medical care and the kitchen team ensure there is great food available to meet individual needs and preferences. If you are looking for a care home for a relative, don't despair, book a visit here! The manager and his team set a very high standard in the care industry! They don't claim perfection, but they certainly aim to do their very best. Staff clearly enjoy working in the home and many have been there a long time. The home has a homely feel and all the staff work together so well as a team. We received a couple of recommendations from friends and we can see why.
My husband has some very challenging behaviour problems, which can be verbal and physical. He has been at Park House Nursing Home since September 2024, after a very stressful eventful time and being in hospital just over two months. My husband was unsettled and confused, when arriving at Park House, however all the staff made him feel at home with their great care, compassion, kindness and reassurance. This home is a very warm, homely, welcoming and clean place, with tasty homemade food. There is plenty entertainment and activities going on. Activity team are very proactive in getting the residents to partake in a friendly, caring way. All the staff, from manager downwards, are very patient, caring, kind, understanding and thoughtful towards their residents and relatives, working as a cohesive team. All I've received is kindness, understanding, a good rapport with staff and involved in my husband's care and welfare needs. Highly recommend.
From August 2019 - March 2024 My Mother was a resident in Park House. Mum displayed some very challenging behaviour problems when she was first admitted to Park House, These included high levels of physical violence on almost all occasions when the very competent staff were assisting Mum with her personal care etc. Mum was very disagreeable with staff - visitors - and family if her mood was low. Some members of staff in my opinion went above and beyond the care and tolerance we expected especially when mum had assaulted members of staff through anger and frustration of her worsening condition. The food was of excellent quality in appearance and presentation. The home was always spotlessly clean and entertainment and activities were very good with staff encouraging the residents to join in the fun. I don't think we could have asked any more from the staff and management. We would always recommend Park House to other people!
Since my father has been in Park House, he has received great care from all the staff. They take the time to help, talk to him and make sure they can assist in any way.
My husband transferred to Park House in February 2023 with terminally ill brain cancer. The deputy manager did an assessment of his needs and was knowledgeable. So was the staff member, very positive - he listened and reassured me about my husband. We were both cared for appropriately! Eight months at Park House were physically challenging - all nurses treated him with the utmost excellence and respect when he was frail. They tolerated me as a concerned wife with patience/understanding. Excellent in their regular collaborations with GPs, 111 doctors and paramedics. Kitchen, cleaning and maintenance staff were equally brilliant. The carers were incredibly good, warm and approachable - their interactions added enormous quality to his daily life. We received continuous understanding and expert support of the manager and his wonderful team throughout. They were absolutely brilliant in their consistency of care for us both! I have so much gratitude in my heart to all staff!
Mum was at Park House for the last eighteen months of her life. I cannot fault the excellent care she received from all members of the team. She enjoyed being well looked after and taking part in the activities, even though she had not previously been the sort of person to join in with other people. At all times, she was treated with great respect and kindness. It was such a comfort to know that she was safe, happy and contented. When visiting, I was always aware of the happy atmosphere and made to feel most welcome at all times. I can strongly recommend Park House to all who need such care and support.
Dad has recently moved into Park House with complex dementia/Alzheimer's needs. He came after a month-long stint in hospital and is now very weak, confused and not eating. Staff at Park House have been excellent at 'diagnosing' Dad's needs and spend time with him encouraging him to eat and drink. I am very pleased with their understanding of dementia and the respect and care they give to Dad and us as a family.
I am overwhelmed. This is what a nursing home should be. I was fearful of seeing my cousin who has stage four dementia and arrived from hospital last week. He is obviously very ill but a lovely, clean, bright room, a very comfy bed with a cuddly toy, TV on but not intrusive - I was able to talk to him, remind him of days past and get to see him smile. The carer was so kind and helpful, explaining things. The home is welcoming, it smells good (and that's important). Thank you.
Two members of my family were cared for very well. The staff care about their residents and try to encourage their involvement in activities. Any problems are dealt with quickly and with respect.
My wife came to Park House after leaving hospital, she was really unwell. The staff cared for her very very well. They dealt with her needs, stoma, dementia and her ANCA vasculitis in a professional way at all times. The carers and nurses were excellent in dealing with her special needs.
I can't recommend Park House highly enough. My husband was there for just on 3 months. Not only was the nursing care he was given exemplary, all concerned with looking after him treated him with great kindness. They work as a cohesive team. I was treated with such kindness and felt very much part of the home family.
