View Full Details of Old Rectory Nursing HomeI can't thank the care home enough for how they have literally saved my mum. She was close to a breakdown again, low, mood swings, not eating and drinking properly, didn't know night from day and extremely anxious pacing, with the hard work of all the staff she's a different lady now. All aspects of care couldn't be better. The support and kindness is a godsend at times. Best are the activities that keep Mum and her new friends busy throughout the day. Mum is Elvis's biggest fan and the home have Elvis music and books. She's safe and happy and in good health considering she's getting severe Alzheimer's dementia. Mum couldn't be in better care. And her favourite thing now is having her hair and nails done.
All carers and staff are very helpful and work with me to see my wife is cared for, clean and presentable when I visit her, the rooms are clean and warm, the atmosphere is happy and sociable, playing games; bingo etc.
The overhaul care and attention is very good. I haven't found any reason to have to complain and have found the staff extremely helpful, caring and always with a smile. Very happy about the care my mother is receiving.
As soon as my aunt arrived at Old Rectory she was made to feel most welcome and looked after perfectly. I was impressed that they asked me what she liked to do/hobbies so that they could keep her happy and engaged. I am kept informed about any issues very quickly and I feel confident my Aunt is being well looked after.
During funding conversations, I felt the staff involved fought for the best interests of Mum and showed a level of love and compassion for her. Mum's illness is horrible, and I know she can be difficult at times, but I feel the staff are patient and respectful.
Old Rectory has been transformed in the last few months, it has a new management team, new decor and environment changes are amazing and the communication is so much better. My mum seems really happy, the Facebook pictures show us that everyone is having fun.
